  • Sea World SD rides

Will be in SD the weekend of Nov. 10, and may go to SW that Sunday. What kind of wait times are we likely to experience for the few rides, particularly JTA? Thanks.

    A bientot.

I forgot there was wait times for any rides there...since it's November, it should be a walk on or 10-15 minutes the most for JTA and the rest are definitely walk ons, especially wild artic.

Now, I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic!

That's what I was hoping. Actually, one of our best days at 6 Flags Marine Discovery Kingdom World was cold and rainy, with few people, and very mellow animals, so a chill wouldn't bug me too much. Thanks.

Actually, I think many of the rides are only open during the summer season. My friend went recently and said Journey to Atlantis is closed. THe Sea World web site mentions this:

Shipwreck Rapids will be closed from Nov. 7-21.

Mmmm....that could have an effect. Don't care about getting drenched on a raft ride, but was curious about JTA. Without that, may have to talk the wife into making an early departure for a day at DL-haven't ridden the new subs. Thanks for the info.

No, no - all the rides are open year-round. Skytower/ Skyride close when winds warrant. JTA sometimes opens late but is not scheduled for rehab in the short term. Shipwreck is down for maintenance as indicated above.

Wild Arctic- busy at park opening
            JTA-busy at park opening
Shipwreck - opens 1-2 hours after park opening. Go on before or during a Shamu show. Line gets busier after the show lets out.

Since you will be at Sea World during the off-season the lines for any rides shouldn't be very long at all. If you have any other questions about the park, you can PM me since I work at the park.

Thanks DR, may take you up on it as the time gets closer. Didn't expect big waits in Nov., but it is a weekend. Hopefully the fires won't force us to cancel. Not because we would miss SW as much as it would mean my brother-in-law's house is gone. Hope your neighborhood gets through it, too.
