  • [Idea] What would Milton do?

What would Milton Shedd (one of the co-founders of Sea World) do if he found out his company had been sold to a foreign beer company?

My guess is that he would start drinking. As we understand it, they feed Shamu nearly 100 gallons of light beer every day (they switched him over from stout a few years ago because he was getting fat).

      Re: What would Milton do?

From the Washington Post, May 26th, 2002 written upon the death of Mr. Shedd.

Mr. Shedd, a Texas native and former investment banker, was SeaWorld's chairman for two decades and oversaw SeaWorld park openings in Ohio and Florida. He also founded the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, which finances marine research. SeaWorld began as a plan by four fraternity brothers to open a restaurant with a marine show.
I think it's pretty clear that Mr. Shedd and his fellow fraternity brother founders would have wanted beer available in their parks. It is so sad that the current owners have lost touch with some of the founding principles of the parks.

Wow, I didn't know Killer Whales liked bear. Which do they prefer? Grizzly? Polar? Brown? Pooh?

Much to Busch's chagrin, the orca now consider themselves "Miller Time" Whales. Oh well, at least the Clydesdales' loyalty remains with the company. They guzzle Bud al the time.
