  • [Rumor] Indoor/Outdoor/ROTM Style Coaster Rumors are Back for 2014

Remember a long time ago when SeaWorld was looking into building an indoor/outdoor darkride/rollercoaster for 2010, well according to screamscape those plans are back but now the ride opening is for approx. 2014. This makes me very happy. SeaWorld needs this type of attraction.

I agree. SeaWorld is in dire need of a new ride. I just hope Councilwoman Frye and her NIMBY constituents don't force Blackstone to cheap out on it, as they did with Journey to Atlantis.

What Sea World park are you talking about? I'm assuming not Orlando as they just got the new Manta coaster last year.

Donna Frye has actually been working with the park on this one, so I don't think it'll be anywhere near the mess "Journey 'Round The Grain Silos" became.

I was wondering if Donna Fry was still around. As I recall, I thought her big objection to Atlantis was obscuring sightlines. As this proposed coaster largely goes underground, it seems it wouldn't be as much as an issue for her. I hope.

It would be nice for Sea World San Diego to get more rides. And the proposed area doesn't really seem to take away from any of the current exhibits, so it's a good match. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

From the original art it looks like it's going to have a very low profile. I really hope this plan goes through. With all the amazing rides they've been building in Orlando and Texas, San Diego needs this ride to ROCK!!!!

I hope Sea World needs a few more rides to make it a great park.
