  • [Pictures] Sea World 1970

I've been rummaging through my late Dad's old slides and was pleased to see some shots he took in Sea World. Dad was a test driver from the UK who worked in the USA in the late 60's/early 70's so I'm guessing these photos were taken at some point then.

These are taken from slides so condition isn't brilliant, there is also the possibility the slides are reversed. The Sea World I know now looks very very different so its hard for me to tell!

I just wanted to share these with others who would appreciate this little slice of history.

And one final one, can anyone identify the aircraft carrier? I know the USS Sterett is in this pic.....

      Done Eric
      Enjoy!

(If anyone can date these exactly btw I'd be grateful! I'm guessing 1970 but Dad worked over there from about 68 to 73 on and off)

I know the top 2 are the Shamu show but I don't know which version this might be. If it's Shamu Goes Hollywood that would be somewhere 1971-1974. The show is in what is now Blue Horizons.
Amnesia used to be my favourite word, but I forgot it.

That would fit, he was over there when I was born so this set were probably from around October 1973 then
It does seem to say 'Hollywood' on the scenery.
