  • News Aquatica Coming To Sea World Texas. Is San Diego Next?!

May 19th is the date that Sea World Texas will open it's Aquatica. Along with it's Orlando mother park, this will make two splash-tastic destinations to venture to. Stingray Falls represents one difference between the Orlando and San Antonio parks. Regarding the underwater slide tube that features small dolphins, riders in San Antonio will encouter stingrays (along with exotic fish)

I think it's likely that Sea World Sandiego will get it's Aquatica; hopefully we're talking right around the corner of the coral reef!

As much as I would love this - the powers that be in SD will not even let SWSD have a decent ride. An entire new park? Notgonnahappen.. espically if they want it on the water like the park is. The only open area is Fiesta Island and the area just east of the park and neither of those are that big and I am sure the city has that area on lock down.

You may well be the first to put your finger on the where SWSD plans to locate Aquatica....Fiesta Island. This would kinda give the waterpark two cool names. If not at the island, some other place would likely work out. After all, there's an famous addage that EVERYTHING'S BIG IN TEXAS!

There is way too many events that are held on Fiesta Island, most of which generate a sizable amount of national attention not to mention revenue for the groups that hold them. I can't see the city relinquishing this site anytime soon.

You're probably right. Still as previously said, the state of Texas and the city of San antonio are each plenty big enough for practically anything it wants to build.

Aquatica will not be "the big fish that got away." Rather, it will be the water park that's there to stay, for those that like to splash and play.
