My girlfriend and I finally had our chance to ride Manta, and I personally am very pleased with the ride. Sitting in the very front is the best! I love the launches and the best time to go on is when Sea World has shows going for people to watch. We got to ride it twice. I think its a great family ride and a wonderful addition to Sea World San Diego.

I loved it too! My only real gripe is that the video in the launch tunnel looks great so long as the launch exit doors are closed. I've ridden it multiple times and the doors only close 3/4 of the time.
Amnesia used to be my favourite word, but I forgot it.

Rode it during one of the Media events, really nice ride, well suited for the park.

It looks a great ride, but the landscaping has not been competed. Then it would be fantasic ride
The new Star Wars plot summery:

Episode 7: Luke discovers that Darth Vader is not his father, and goes on a search for his real father

Episode 8: Darth Vader is resurrected and goes on Jerry Springer, claiming he is Luke and Leia's father

Episode 9: Princes Leia is not Luke's sister, making him furious (we all know why...).

I've ridden the ride in the front seat, the back seat, the middle seats... I'm waiting to somehow ride it backwards... :P

My Gran'Daughter loves riding it in the front seat, but it really isn't that much better to be worth an extra 15 minutes wait time when there's a line for the ride; save riding in the front for when it's the end of the night mid-week and you can just walk on to the ride.

The back seat is nearly as good a ride as the front, and the lines for it are much shorter then the lines for the front seats.

And as you move closer to the middle seats, the sorter the lines tend to be, without too much of a loss of thrills.

If the washing out of the video in the launch tunnel bothers you, ride after dusk. Lines for the ride can be shorter at night, too, especially on nights when the temperature cools quickly (I went on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and the lines disappeared about 8:30 PM).

Having been on the one at SeaWorld Orlando, I was incredibly disappointed by the queue. Comparing just coaster to coaster, I'd give the edge to San Diego, but the bare landscape was a serious let down.

Though apprehensive when they were first building the coaster, I am pleased with how it turned out. Not too scary, but exciting enough for anyone, even after multiple rides in different rows. It's so fluid and free that it's almost worth having to get a little locker and everything. The "flying" feeling always wakes me up. I'd say they did a great job with it considering the restrictions SD has with roller coasters.

I am going to try to get to SeaWorld San Diego for the 50th, and I can't wait to ride their Manta!

I haven't been there yet, but it is on my list of parks to visit. I'll probably make it a multiday trip and combine it with the San Diego Zoo and the historic Giant Dipper at Belmont Park. I've heard nothing but positive reviews about Manta at SWSD.
                    Current coaster count: 179
100th coaster: Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood
                    150th coaster: Intimidator at Carowinds
last new park addition: Six Flags Great America
