  • Question for the SFMM locals...

    Hello,
I'm thinking of heading to SFMM tomorrow, and was wondering what I should expect as far as the crowds are concerned. Anybody familiar with how light/heavy it will be with all the Halloween festivities and all? And does Colossus still run a train backwards for October?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dizz.

    Colossus does run backwards.

As far as crowds, will probably be busy later in the day due to Fright Fest. But from past experience, the day-time hours during Fright Fest aren't generally too bad. Longest lines will be for X2, Tatsu, Terminator and Colossus Backwards.

      Thanks Sir Clinks!
X2 is the only ride you mentioned that I absolutely HAVE to go on. And I'll def be there before opening so I can reserve my spot before the line gets long...I'm interested in trying out the Colossus backward. That'd be interesting...Have you rode it?

Colossus backwards is fun, but you do get your back slammed, so be ready for it.

I went to the SFMM haunt about a week ago. Lines for mazes were fairly manageable. They move slowly because they only let in a few at a time, and they don't really theme their lines at all, so prepare for some boring waits. Mazes are good, not great, but fun. Highlights were Lecter's Slaughterhouse, and Willhoughby's Mansion (even though it, and Jokesters, haven't changed in like, five years). Bite was fairly disappointing, with long passages of nothing, but some good scenes here and there.

A good haunt, and afforable... but Knott's and USH's HHN are far superior.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

Oh, and by the way, don't forget to ride Terminator: Salvation. That ride is still smooth and a lot of fun, especially at night!
