It seems that Texas Giant, Six Flags over Texas's largest wooden coaster, will close for refurbishment in 2010. For anyone in the area, ACE is having a "Coaster riding party" tomorrow at 5 to ride the coaster 19 times, one for each year of "service". My sources are conflicting though: another article implies that the coaster is closing for good.

Sorry for the double post, but this morning's paper says that Six Flags has anounced that the coaster will actually be demolished and replaced by a new, faster, and smoother coaster with a similar layout to the original.
