Re: six flages 50th anivery
The trains were already repainted and refurbished... I trust you've seen the train that was restored to the original 1976 design? I trust you mean the track, but one thing at a time.
While they can't remove the OTS, there is speculation that they may be modified to a newer, more comfortable and less head-banging design. But no word has been said as to when, as far as I know. I know you didn't ask this, but it gets brought up a lot.
Personally, I think they have their hands full just getting their three new ride experiences underway first.Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

Re: Six Flags 50th anniversary
As JesterMn said, there have been rumors of new trains/new restraints going in on Revolution. The restraints would be similar to those found on Green Lantern. They are still OTSR's, but they are quite comfortable.
New (lighter) trains would also reduce the speed on the ride and they would be able to remove the block-brakes that had to be added when they added the OTSR's, hopefully making the ride much more smooth and closer to it's former greatness.
IMO, they should put these on Viper as well.
I'm thinking for next year we are going to see something similar to this year with "three new coaster experiences". New Trains/Restraints on Revolution, Retracking on Colossus and a third "new" coaster.
That's just my gut, but we'll see what happens.
