Got to "observe" the Green Lantern coaster on Saturday. Many times, the cars only rotated a couple of times if that.
My kids then went on Batman. While they rode, I timed the time between cars (on Green Lantern) when they reached the top of the lift as a reference point. On day 2, SFMM was averaging about 1 car every minute. Do the math......8 riders times 60 is only 480 riders per hour. Prepare for a long wait. If they can get the cars up faster then great. But it doesn't look good already.

My guess is in the next few weeks we will see the ride hit it's projected 900 riders per hour.
I took another trip to SFMM on July 17 with one of my sons and his friend who had not ridden Green Lantern yet. The line stated 1 hour wait which turned out to be 80 minutes, no big deal. As they got in line, I sat down with a grease infused slice of pizza, dried out pieces of cheese bread, and a over-syruped coca-cola and watched the ride. I decided to time the cars using the stopwatch with lap feature on my cellphone.
The number of cars that cycled through in 1 hour was 42. Assuming each car was at full capacity (8 riders), that came to only 336 riders for 1 hour. This is definitely a decrease from day 2 operations.
Each car would stop at the midway point on the brakes for approximately 1 to 2 minutes. One car was on the brakes for almost 4 minutes.
I then stood outside of the exit line where you can stand underneath the cars to watch them go up the lift. It did not seem the employees were working slowly and in fact, and I can't believe I am saying this, they seemed to be working efficiently. Who knows what was holding up the dispatching.
However, SFMM does need to work on this. 336 riders an hour is just ridiculous when it should be almost triple this amount.
As I posted before, if you really want to ride this, then prepare to wait. Otherwise, wait a year or so and the ride will be walk on like most of the rides.
