  • Six Flags Hurricane Harbor to get "Virtual Queue" system this summer

Can't wait to try this out over the summer.

Lo-Q to install Q-band system in ninth Six Flags water park - Proactiveinvestors (UK)

Virtual queuing specialist Lo-Q (LON:LOQ) is to install its water park system Q-band in another US theme park run by Six Flags, the world's largest regional operator.

Six Flags will install the system at the Hurricane Harbor Magic Mountain water park, which is next door to Six Flags' Magic Mountain theme park in California.

It will be the ninth Six Flags water park to adopt Lo-QLo-Q's largest customer.

    Tom Burnet, Lo-Q

Q-band uses a wristband that is waterproof and lightweight. People can reserve a "virtual" place at the park's slides and be alerted when the time arrives.

I used this during the past summer at Six Flags White Water and it was alright. The system is kind of odd and not without bugs, mostly the boards where you make reservations not setting up the proper reservations. For the price, which was only like $15/person I would definitely use it again.

I'm sure the tie to the retail system is a huge point of interest for the parks.

And people think all this RFID investing by Disney is a waste.. hopefully news like this shows people that unless Disney keeps developing and trying to advance how they approach queuing and transactions... they stand to be left behind while everyone else does.

The park has had a bracelet for purchasing food/merchandise for years (that we've used and LOVED). I know White Water was the first park to get this, I'm hoping they can improve upon the system with this roll out.

We are going to the park on Sunday to get our passes (including HH) so I'm hoping we'll have a review of the system when HH opens in May.

I'm really interested to see where Hurricane Harbor puts the Flash Pass entrances.

The lines were already long enough. So now the new standby lines will be even longer. MM hasn't mastered the Flashpass yet so why would HH be any better.
"And yes, we implore EVERYBODY to follow the park rules. Having off-ride footage is great, but any still photo's or video's taken ON the coasters at SFMM are strictly against the rules. They are there for your (and everybody's) safety." "Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters. " BUT, " This is not true. Six Flags does not allow ANY On-Ride video or pictures on the rides. The ONLY way is if you get explicit permission from Park Management." ???

Thats why I'm going to have to get there right when it opens from now on...or it will be worthless going to the park since I think the lines are long enough from the last summer..this year is going to be worst
              Happy Halloween!!!
