Just finished up our week-long Thanksgiving trip today by saving the best for last. USH!!!
A new experience for us was the parking lot booth attendant asking us how many guests were in our vehicle (SUV with tinted windows). I have had a Premium AP with free parking for years and we have never been asked that question before. No big deal, I answered and she thanked us and we were on our way.
Beautiful weather and pretty much everything was "walk-on". Lots of characters roaming around the streets just waiting for a guest to show up with a camera. Beetlejuice hung out with us for a while. He's done that before. He's cool!
We saw our favorite VIP Tour Host, Matthew today. He was "slumming" on the regular Tram Tour. LOL. He's the BEST! The construction continues on the lower lot. It is VERY impressive looking! They are doing an awesome job! The new Kong building is coming right along too. I saw the Columbo car (Peugeot convertable) in the rear storage lot area behind Spartacus Square. It's looking pretty sad. I'd love to see Peter Falk behind the wheel just one more time...
There was some filming activity on the back lot. Parenthood by Ron Howard was very busy next to Stage 37 and the Ghost Whisperer was doing some exterior shooting. Colonial St (Wisteria Lane for the newbies) was open for the Tram. There were crews there working on the houses but no filming was going on today. The Grinch sets next to the Psycho house were being decorated for the upcoming Grinchmas event.
An unexpected and nice part of the day was how pretty much all of the CM's expresed their gratitude for us enjoying the Park today. It was obviously a very slow day (nice for us, but not so nice for the bottom-line) so there were a lot of CM's hanging around not doing much. Most were into starting conversations and they sincerely thanked us for being at the Park today. Nice class act!!!
We also recieved a few "treats" today, but we'll keep them to ourselves. If you were there today, maybe you would have gotten some too...
Once again, our devotion to USH was reinforced by a very enjoyable experience and it capped off a nice end to our T-Day vacation.
Thanks USH!!!
