  • USH Has Began Construction On Transformers Ride

In order to cut costs, existing building walls are being used in the construction of the coming Transformers multimedia attraction. I look forward to this ride being on par with Orlando's Spiderman if not more advanced.

I hope it's technically advanced. Unlike TDO, TDA actually wants to build things

What I meant, was that this should provide competition for DLR. tDA, not being as cheap as TDO, are more likely to give a huge budget to a ride that could beat it.

I agree, Ckelef. Universal Hollywood's humongous Transformers ride will offer advanced technologies that rival Island of Adventure's Spiderman and Wizarding World's Forbidden Journey. As WDI/TDA have not developed any rides of this genra, Universal Hollywood is offering the Disneyland Resort some serious competition. Commercial rivalry is a good thing, as it causes theme park company's to compete by building better and better rides and other attractions.

With al mentioning that TDA ordered 2 new E-Tickets, it's good To know that TDA ain't afraid to spend money

They may have ordered 2 E-tickets, but it's too early to tell if they'll let those projects be built properly, or if they'll be DCA'ed into mediocrity.

The NASA tech-operated AA robots will be mind blowing...combined with the dynamics of the interactive vehicles and track, people will be riding this ride twice or more times everytime they visit Universal Hollywood.

Even though I will go to universal to ride this when it opens, Ill ride it a couple of times, it won't make me return more often. For around the same ticket price at Disneyland, i'd rather go to Disneyland. Way more to do

I would say that 6 months for $60, as advertised on the site, is a much better deal than a day at half the resort for $72, but that's just me.

btw you can go to Universal for a whole year for less than Disney is for a day.

Rather spend the money on Magic Mountain, at least I can get a healthy coaster fix year round! Man do I really miss living in So.Cal!

Re: USH Has Began Construction On Transformers Ride

I'm starting to question now if Transformers is actually going to use the two soundstages behind it to build the ride now. They dug almost the same highth as the building and still nothing done to the two buildings. Screamscape just heard a rumor that the ride in Singapore will be nothing like the one in Hollywood. That worries me very much that once again, we're going to get slighted.

By the way, since when did anybody say that the ride would take up the soundstages with the ride?

^heard it going to be 4 stories, a bottom story for CM and offices, the Line area Story, then 2 stories for the ride. Its far from being completed lets hope its worth the wait.
                              Happy Halloween!!!

That sounds like it's going to be the case since they would have worked on the two stages by now. This sort of worries me because I'm afraid that there won't be enough room for the robots. If they can make this work then fantastic. I think a couple of fast elevator sequences would be cool to be on and would feel more realistic anyway.

^it last much longer than most attraction do at the park, and the only two attraction there I would say are "classics" and should never leave are Jurassic Park and Water World (of course the Tram too)

Really if the Mummy or Simpsons left, I would not care either, the park is fun but needs more heart in its attractions.

You have to remember the soundstages are pretty tall. You can fit 3, mayyyyybe 4 floors of a normal office sized floor into those stages. so even divided in half, you're still looking at a fairly decent size room from floor to ceiling. Plus using forced perspective on set pieces adds to the effect.
