  • Universal Orlando Resort Christmas update! - PHOTO HEAVY

Well Christmas in Orlando, it is truly a Magical time of year! If you are at Disney or Universal or SeaWorld there is always so much to do. So I popped on over to Universal to see how the Holidays are progressing. At the Universal Orlando Resort the Christmas season starst December 4th and goes until January 1st.

This year at Universal Orlando Resort there are LOADS of awesome Christmas activities that are included with your General Admission and Annual Pass.

At IOA Grinchmas will be in full swing
At USF Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, MannheimSteam Roller Live, and the Holiday Nighttime Spectacular. After the 4th I will be back to get pictures of the events in full swing.

Grinchmas Gear is on sale at CityWalk

As a note. Both IOA and USF have one "land" of the park that is all decked out for Christmas, and the other "lands" only have venue specific decorations if they match the them of that venue. Which I spent all afternoon trying to figure out if I liked or not. Part of me liked the fact that there were no decorations in LOST Continent because clearly they would not celebrate Christmas in this mythical ancient land. At USF for instance in Amity, it is 4th of July 1976 ever day of the year even during Christmas. So in the end I like that you have a land where you get your "holiday cheer" but the rest of the park is normal operation.

    The entrance at IOA

    Port of Entry

    Grinchmas is here!!!

    SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED for Grinchmas!!!!

WWOHP Break! lol CROWDS gallore! 3 hour wait for Olivander's... 75 min wait for FJ

So no exterior decorations at Jurassic Park. However the Discovery Center had trees everywhere.

No exterior decorations in Toon Lagoon. The Gift shops had theme specific trees.

Marvel Super Hero Island only had theme specific christmas trees like the rest of the lands

So I took this pic as an example of all the merchandise you see people hauling out of IOA. She was wearing stuff the purchased that day, and the other people in her party had 2 other large bags. lol

USF time to cross over.... At USF New York is the Christmas land.

And this is when my battery died on my phone... sad face!

So I hope you all enjoyed the update. I will try to get some video and lots more photos when things are in full swing.

I don't think I've seen photos of Christmas at Universal before, thanks for sharing.

They did a good job with Suess Landing, particularly.

I also don't think I have seen Christmas at USF before. Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if they went all out this year inspired by their 32% increase in attendance.

            Bring 'em on!
Forget 'Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln,' Samantha Brown is Disney's most sophisticated animatronic.
