Knew this was on the horizon.
Universal Orlando raises some ticket prices, expands blackout dates for summer time

    Universal Orlando Resort

    Wednesday, January 05, 2011 10:25 AM
ORLANDO Universal Orlando has raised some of the prices on its annual passes for Florida residents, and put more blackout dates in them.

Universal offers three annual passes, the cheapest is the two-park annual Power Pass. It now goes for $159.99, which is a $20 increase.

The pass also adds about six more weeks of blackout dates, including all of July, and a couple of weeks in August.

Many of those dates apply only to the Islands of Adventure, where the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been attracting record crowds since it opened last year.
We are still in recession, right?
