It's official, a walk through maze based on the hit AMC Channel Series, The Walking Dead, is coming to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights this fall in Hollywood and Florida. This is the second announcement from Universal Creative regarding the Fall event which begins on September 21st and runs through October 31st on select nights. It is also the second franchise based announcement this year.
The Walking Dead is a hyper-realistic story about a band of survivors in a post apocalyptic world following a zombie outbreak. You can rest assured that John Murdy, Creative Director, Universal Hollywood, will use everything at his disposal to put visitors into the dead center of the action. We have no doubt that this will be an experience that will raise the bar for Haunt mazes.
“With ‘The Walking Dead,’ we want to make fans of the series feel like they are literally walking in the footsteps of the show’s characters, experiencing all of the horrific events from the series just as they experienced them,” said John Murdy, Creative Director at Universal Studios Hollywood. “The goal is to make guests of Halloween Horror Nights feel like they are trapped in the world of ‘The Walking Dead,’ using all of the attention to detail and movie-quality production values that Halloween Horror Nights has become famous for. You’re no longer sitting on a couch, watching a show…you’re living it!”
No word has been given with regards where the maze will be located. We will keep you posted as soon as more info becomes available!
