What will Universal Orlando do with it's 1.5 billion dollars?

So Universal Orlando allegedly has 1.5 billion to spend over the next 10 years. Here is what they have spent so far

Transformers - 40,000,000
Harry Potter 2.0 - 300,000,000
New Hotel - 200,000,000
Park Refurbishments and enhancements - 60,000,000

That is 600,000,000 that means that we have 900,000,000 left to spend! What would you do with that money? And what do you think will happen with it?

They're also renovating the Simpsons area and have a new attraction planned for IOA, tentatively scheduled to open in 2014. A complete overhaul of Kidzone may happen farther down the line as well.

Assuming this rumor is true, the attractions that opened this year may have come out of that pot also.

I want as much as possible put into Diagon Alley.

In addition to a Gringotts ride, I'd like another HP attraction. Since I posted my Iron Man Circlevision Tour of the World in 3D suggestion a whopping ten minutes ago on Micechat and Disney STILL hasn't given it the green light,

how about if Universal gets into Circlevision? Harry & Hagrid's Tour of Earth's Magical Places. We could meet creatures and visit witches and their secret haunts all over the world. How about NOT saving the world and no "something goes wrong" plot. Just an amazing flight to some of earth's most breathtaking places and beautiful cities. We could catch up on different HP characters ten years later and JK Rowling could make a cameo.

If WDW steps up even half as much I think we'd all be pretty happy at this point. It's also crazy how Universal stretches money too. Not only is that a DCA level of investment, but they easily stretch it twice as far!


My long-term wish list (because I honestly am totally happy with how much they have going on now)

IOA - Very little I think needs fixing, just add in some more attractions to keep the park from stagnating and general renovations.

-Seuss landing E-ticket (either Grinch coaster or Lorax dark ride)... or both because why not?
-JP expansion (already on?!)
-LC needs a marquee attraction
-Some general sprucing up of Toon Lagoon, the stunt show needs to be replaced
-Night time lagoon show

Universal - From my visit over New Years I thought this park needed a DCA like re-theme, it just isn't up to the calibre of IOA (this is of course before Despicable Me, HP, Transformers and Simpsons, so halfway home)

-Theming!
-The kids area needs to be completely redone. On the fence about replacing ET with Sesame street from Singapore.
-Replace Fear Factor, Twister and Terminator
-I dislike the Studios look in general, less sound stages please, Shrek can go.


And my daydream pick...
-LOTR/Hobbit (the shire village + Smog ride) - on the expansion pad between Simpsons and MIB.

I can't believe my idea that I posted months ago somewhat came true, but they are actually planning a sort of Simpsons-themed miniland next to the Simpsons ride. So far I know that they are building a Moe's and a Krusty Burger. There's also a rumored Kang and Kodos themed spinner ride as well as possibly some other eateries from the show (Kentucky Fried Panda). I would love to see some Simpsons themed merchandise stores as well. Maybe the Android's Dungeon.

I think they will spend some of that, plus what they get off Disney, to re do Marvel Superhero Island. But also, Mount Crumpitt coaster in IOA, kidzone overhaul as well as the IOA wwohp expansion. Maybe, the much rumoured Lord of the Rings expansion for Toon Lagoon.

Transformers had a much higher budget than $40m. Closer to $80m

The popular rumor at the moment is a JP expansion after Potter opens. More than one attraction. Also a replacement for FFL, possibly Wicked.

I think they will spend some of that, plus what they get off Disney, to re do Marvel Superhero Island..

Disney isn't buying them out.

Transformers had a much higher budget than $40m. Closer to $80m

The clone will likely cost less, although they're also paying extra fees for the accelerated construction cycle. And I've heard Potter could cost upwards of $500 million on its own.
