  • Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Weight restrctions

    Hi All,

Sorry to ask a question that might've been asked already, but when I searched I only came across a couple of threads from about 3 years ago...

Anyway, I am planning on heading down to Universal this October for HHN and I am dying to ride Forbidden Journey, but am concerned about possible weight restrictions, even though I know they eased restrictions a bit...

Anyway, I am about 5'9" (maybe like 5'9.5") and weight around 255lbs. Any idea if I should be ok with riding Forbidden Journey? Anyone in here with first hand experience, that could offer first had advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!!!

You should be fine. Just sit in one of the seats on the outside they accommodate larger body types. But use the test seat out front first, so that you don't feel like you queued all the way for nothing.

Even if your body was to not fit, the castle queue is an incredible environment, and worth your time to explore even without the ride at the end.

I think you should be fine really. If you can ride roller coasters with ease you should have no problem with forbidden journey.

        Thanks!!

I have no problem riding coasters like Aerosmith Rock N Roller Coaster or Expedition Everest... The only coasters that seem to be give me a problem are the inverted ones where there is a over the shoulder restraint with the seatbelt that locks in the middle... I usually have to find one of those seats where there are two seatbealts that are on the left and right side of the middle hump, then I am fine...

So I should be ok with Potter, correct??

I have about the same body proportions as you and did fine on it last November.
