  • [Hollywood] Jurassic Park Ride Goes Extinct to Make Way for Jurassic World in Hollywood

    http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/05/...dios-hollywood

Its Finally Happening, after years of letting the ride become less and less impressive and not working correctly we are getting an updated version of the ride. I'm hoping that it will take the ride back to its glory days over 20 years ago.
    Happy Halloween!!!

The ride will be mainly the same, I doubt the layout will change at all

Mainly think the old real difference will be the Q and new Dinosaurs...which if you haven't been on in a while both need work
      Happy Halloween!!!

Wasn't a huge fan of Jurassic World and I love the Jurassic Park The Ride, so I am not very happy about this.
If it means updated animatronics and effects then it can't be all bad. I just don't care for the ascetic of World.

That's fair, I'm just excited to see them update it...but of course the original is better.

But like Star Tours, they aren't going to limit them selves to old films they want to mix in the old and new
          Happy Halloween!!!

I'm juiced about this myself. With as far as technology in animatronics, projections, and other visual effects has come in the last 20 years, Universal will have a lot at their disposal. I'm expecting the new experience to be intense and exciting, like the original was the first time I rode it back in 2002, but maybe even cranked up a notch, especially towards the end. The T-Rex animatronic at Hollywood has always been the least impressive of them all in my opinion, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the Indominus and all his new buddies. This is all to say nothing of the ride's deteriorating condition over the last decade or so, which I'm sure we can agree that we'll be delighted to see resolved.

For as long as the shutdown seems to be, I am expecting bigger changes than just to the queue and the animatronics. There will most likely be big changes to the show scenes and an entirely new story. Regardless of your opinion of Jurassic World (I like Jurassic Park better, but World blows The Lost World and JPIII out of the water in my opinion), this can only be a good thing. Jurassic Park the Ride really only resembled Jurassic Park the movie in that both take place in Jurassic Park and feature dinosaurs. I would expect the same of Jurassic World the Ride, although maybe with a couple of scenes borrowed from the movie.
Warriors, Giants, Sharks, Texans fan from the Bay Area.
            Annual visitor to Disneyland ('99, '04-08, '11-present)
            So so hyphy.

Well we Know the ending Drop will be a little difference since both the T Rex and the Dino Villain from Jurassic World will be fighting there.

Mosasaurus is also going to be on the ride (along with the old Jaws Prop you could take a picture with on the second lot) my guess is the big creature will jump out of the water and move the boat in the bad direction similar to what it is now
              Happy Halloween!!!

I can't wait to see what they do with this, the last time I rode Jurassic Park ride one of the Dilophosaurus was missing it's head. Nothing quite like being pulled out of the experience by a pipe shooting water rather than an animatronic Dinosaur! I do, however, have fond memories of the original, taking my then girlfriend on it and promising the drop at the end wasn't too bad......how wrong I was!!

I went two weeks ago a few of the Dinosaurs didn't move and the T Rex didn't even come out...I was like yeah, I'm ready for an upgrade.
Also hoping the Q and Resturant get some theming upgrades as well. How could would it be is in the Restaurant there we're fake Windows that looked out into Jurassic world and you could see Dinosaurs?
                  Happy Halloween!!!

I think with a decent upgrade, this ride could really be something special. I've always loved the aesthetic but with a injection of fresh ideas and effects, they could really knock this out of the park! Your fake windows idea rocks too, I love the use of high def screens in attractions and queues to add detail, the harry potter ride queue does this wonderfully.

The ride used to be very high end, but the last ten years they have let it fall apart, hopefully this revamp will bring it to its glory days and then some.

The Q I doubt will be as amazing as Harry Potters but I hope they do more than the nothing it has currently
                      Happy Halloween!!!

It's good news, the ride seriously need an upgrade and overhaul. Hopefully it won't just be all screens.
