I believe I heard on Inside Universal's latest Hollywood podcast that their likely date now is between late June and sometime in July.

My Guess is June, its coming along very well from all the construction video's I've watched unlike West Coast Racers at Six Flags

Also while I doubt it will be as amazing as Star Wars New Rides, I think it will impress people more than most are thinking right now
      Happy Halloween!!!

It looks they are working overtime to get it running. I,d say around may sometime. If they could open it than they could snatch some of Disney,s momentum with Star Wars.

Has a dinosaur gone AK Yeti on them?

Did they use frog DNA to speed things up?

C'mon Universal--use 'round the clock crews & open this ride! What could go wrong? Ignore Jeff Goldblum!

Rumors from a Universal Forums I follow says June 3rd is the soft opening.

So should be within the next two weeks.
            Happy Halloween!!!

jcruise86, if you listen to the most recent podcast from Inside Universal, they predict the ride will open in July, but they also discuss why the traditional summer calendar of opening rides/attractions by Memorial Day no longer works with the current school calendars and travel seasons.

Anyone have any date on this? Seems like they would publish the opening if they had a projected date.

I think after July 31st if u ask me. There’s usually Team member previews, as well as paid preview events, and I haven’t seen any publicity regarding either of those things.

No way it will be open by the 4th of July

The new Potter ride didnt have a soft opening so this might be the same, it will just open one day
                        Happy Halloween!!!

The attraction won't be opening till August. There are a couple reasons:

                            1. Asking to rebuild an advanced attraction from scratch in under 8 months is unrealistic, they still have a way to go on the show. If they get it open beforehand, expect a poor cgi redo, not animatronic dominant. The plain screen which replaced the dinos at the end is a strong indication.
                            2. They don't want to compete with Star Wars hype at the same time.
                            3. They will want at least 30 days after they announce a release date for marketing and hype purposes, and that's only being announced when they get a clear idea of when the show is ready.

                            I agree with Dusty.

Wait, the finale really just uses a screen instead of animatronic like the original did? That's really disappointing given how iconic that (as well as the initial Rex overhead attack) are.

The walls are all down there’s no way this attraction will sit unused until August sorry I doubt that -

We were there yesterday and apparently July 4th is what is being told to everyone.
Women, they make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.

Universal won’t just release a ride without marketing build up unless it’s subpar redo. If they open any earlier than August, expect it to be a LCD fest. If this truly is a no expense spared effort, marketing will want at least 30 days after an opening date is announced.

We already know that the finale before the drop is a t-rex fighting the Indominus Rex, and we already know that there is definitely an animatronic for the latter (link to a video and article featuring photos of other animatronics below). From what I gather, screens are only going to be featured during the Mososaurus scene (which is actually a perfect way to utilize them) and periodic vignettes featuring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as tour guides on small TV screens. I'm not sure that your hypothesis holds up. They actually announced it over a year ago if I remember correctly, at which point the development of the show elements was probably already well underway off-site. I'm puzzled as to why they haven't announced an opening myself, but I don't expect a subpar product or "LCD fest" at all.
