  • 10/17 Mini TR -- guess who I saw?

Just a brief update after a visit to the WDFM today.

-I'm asked how I can spend so many hours in one place, so in response I decided to compile a list of all the multimedia exhibits throughout the museum to both highlight the museum's extensive collection, and give a taste to newcomers of what to expect.

-Around 1:35pm or so, someone apparently pulled the fire alarm switch, causing the entire museum to evacuate across the street. Thankfully it was just a false alarm. nonetheless you're likely to hear about this online, as people were snapping pictures and posing in front of firetrucks. Whatever lol.

-This distraction happened to fall right in the middle of a 'Fantasia' screening I happened to be attending. On the plus side, who was in the audience of 7 (including myself) but none other than Diane Disney Miller herself. Thanks to the downtime as a result of the evacuation, I got a chance to talk with her for a bit. I've wanted to meet her and was surprised that this was how it happened, but she is a very nice lady and I'm happy for the experience.

    Very cool!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

      Lucky lucky!

"Well I don't know about you folks, but it's way past my bedtime."

Terrific! Too bad there was a false alarm, but it worked out well for you :-)

I'm hoping to get to the museum the next time we're in S.F.
