  • Why San Francisco?

Anyone know why the Walt Disney Family Museum is in San Francisco? I asked WDFM employees today, and no one knew. I couldn't find anything in the entire museum that gives a clue.

Nearer to where Diane Disney-Miller resided (she was a guiding force in the exhibits and tone) and had the proper space/sheer room to house the museum for the right amount of money I am quite certain where the main deciding factors.

And just a general note, Diane liked to try to differentiate Walt Disney the "mascot" for The Walt Disney Company, and Walt Disney the man/son/brother/father/uncle/friend/etc. So being a little further from Anaheim/Burbank/Glendale was a good idea.
