Wanted to know if anyone will be walking for Choc (Childrens hospital of Orange County)at Disneyland on October the 8th?
This is my second year.
Ordinarily, yes....
Might I add that I think what you are doing is fabulous. My wife and I raised, togther, approx $2000 in donations one year!
CHOC has been a great benefit to my family. IN 1980, my sister had a complete blood transfusion when she was 3 days old. In 1987, my 7 year old cousin had kidney stone surgery. As of late, my second cousin has spent a lot of time there since she has cerebral palsy. She just had hip surgery. Her Mom, my 1st cousin, is a respiratory therapist at CHOC.
Great organization and great that you are participating in Helping this fine institution that helps and saves childrens lives.
Yes. Not only do I volunteer by making art and crafts with children every other Saturday at CHOC as a volunteer, but I wouldn't miss this walk!
Right on Frogberto! I didn't know you did that. I know a little boy that was there named Gregory Conklin who passed in April - he was 9. Maybe you know him. I work with his Aunt and my Cousin knew him and the family too. Sad story, but I believe he's at rest now and in a new body and healthy! But CHOC did amazing stuff for this little boy. His family so so grateful.
Probably not. My wife is having a cesarean on October 18 - however, she's been having a lot of 'off and on' contractions.....so I'm not certain walking that length of time would be good for her - could you imagine though! If she went into Labor - my Son could always say "I was born at Disneyland! How cool!
I could walk on my own,, but I really don't leave my wifes side unless I go to work, and that's only 3 miles away and she's been instucted to call me if anything should happen.
I do sound a bit 'on edge' but she went into pre-term labor 3 weeks ago and we had to haul it down the 91 from Corona to UCI at 9:15 pm. She was injected with Tributelene to stop the contractions.
Probably more info than you wanted, BUT this is why I/we will probably have to opt out this year. But we will be there NEXT year - with baby buggy in tow!

If I did know him, CHOC rules and the State's HIPPA laws would prohibit me from mentioning it, but there are many brave boys and girls there, and it is a great place to volunteer.
