  • Northern California Ratatouille Meet !

On the heels of our very successful POTC meet we are now organizing a Ratatouille meet.

Although I'd be fine with having the next meet in Lodi I think it's fair for us to move around a bit.

The current proposal is to have the Ratatouille meet in Dublin/Pleasanton area.

Looks like the Dublin Regency is a good choice, its a big theater and as I recall right off the freeway. There are also lots of good places to eat in the area.

The movie comes out on June 29th (Friday), but I would assume Saturday the 30th is going to work better for everyone.

So sign up here and chime in on date and time for when you'd like to go.

We can hopefully rely on our Bay Area friends to suggest places to eat (perhaps somewhere local rather than a chain) and look into reservations for us.

We drove right past the Dublin theater on our way home and it is huge. There's a Mimi's Cafe right next to it. I think we should go on Saturday the 30th and I think we should go to the movie first and dinner afterward this time. That way we can all wait in line together and go in the theater together and no one will have to save seats and take the chance of running into someone who has a problem with people saving seats for their family members/friends!

I can do Dublin. I may even drag my friend along who lives in Concord. I'll check with my work schedule and see if I can go.

I just checked my RIDE schedule. If it's not early in the afternoon, I should be able to make it.

And I didn't know there was a Mimi's in Dublin, but I like the one in Anaheim.

I used to ride to Dublin all the time. TONS of bikers go up Danville/San Ramon Blvd every day.

Ridng to Dublin from Walnut Creek isn't the same as riding there from Stockton. Of course, if you went over Diablo instead of San Ramon Blvd or Iron Horse Trail, that would be more challenging.

You guys need to get some bikes and get started on a training regimen. That way, I can turn our Labor Day ride in SF to a MiceChat meet. I think you can be ready in three months. However, if you start to talk politics on the ride, I will increase the pace to the point where you can't talk at all!

Now now, I thought we kept the politics pretty friendly, it was more of a fun conversation that anything else.

If I went to far on politics, I am sorry though

^ Aw heck, you didn't go on about politics too much. We all had a lot of conversations about all kinds of things! And it was fun even when we did talk about politics.

So what kind of things go in a party bag for Ratatouille.........various kinds of cheeses?

Today at K Mart , I saw one of those big containers of three kinds of popcorn with a design of Ratatouille on it and I thought of Micechat!
