2016 Gumball Rally Team Name and Logo Contest

The 2016 MiceChat Gumball Rally is rolling your way on May 14th. But the competition is already heating up. Aside from rally placement, we will give away three unique awards at the Gumball Rally, one for Best Team Name, one for Best Team Logo, and a Team Spirit Award.

We invite teams who would like to be in consideration for the Logo and Name contests to post their names and/or logos here and make their best case for why they should win. They can lobby all they want, but the final voting will be done by the 100+ Rally volunteers on game day. They'll get a complete list of all candidates who entered in this thread and then turn in their votes for Best Team Name, Best Team Logo and Team Spirit Award at the end of their shift.

This will be my first Gumball Rally and I enlisted my parents to join me in crossing this off my bucket list. We can’t wait! Since my four Disney-crazed kiddos won’t be joining me on this trip we picked a team name in honor of my oldest daughter’s obsession: Peter Pan. She’s eight going on eighteen but she is thoroughly convinced that any night now Peter Pan will be coming to take her and her siblings to Neverland. She leaves shoes out for each of the kids to quickly slip on at night, she leaves notes for Peter Pan near open windows- she’s even cut a hole in the screen of her bedroom window so that Peter could make it in. (sigh)



Her enthusiasm for the magic that remains in childhood inspired the start of our team name and my youngest daughter’s total love for all things panda completed the rest. So in honor of the kids that are racing with us in spirit, I present Team Peter Pandas!

We are team Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo and Grumpy Too!!! I am Scott from Oregon City, Oregon and teammate will be Lindsay from Riverside, California. This is our first Gumball Rally. After seeing the reports of the previous rally's I was determined to compete this year and when I told Lindsay about the rally she was very excited to be part of the rally as well. My wife, Suzie, is the one who came up with of our fabulous team name. We look forward to meeting you.

After competing together the past 2 years as Team Skip The Drama, Stay With Mama, half the team has decided to sit this year out. The remaining Mama (Lola) & Drama (Haley) still gotta a dream of Gumball Rally victory, so we will be back! We have enlisted our fellow dance friend and Disney geek, Nicole, to join us. The 3 of us share a love of Mickey and the Magical Map, so in honor of our favorite park show and giving a nod to the reason why we can't have nice things, we are competing as "Magical Map Will Never Be Completed #ThanksShanghai"

Gumball Rally is my favorite event, I look forward to it all year. My friends will tell you (with an embarrassed look on their face) that I keep a list of gumball names for whenever I come up with an idea and that I have multiple gumball rally plans/strategies all kept in excel spreadsheets (yes I am type A).

Last year we came in third and were so happy to break the Top 10 for our first time, so we are back to see if we can keep win. Our name this year is Tourists, Why Did It Have To Be Tourists!?! You know you’ve all said it before while walking the parks, and what better way to celebrate a favorite franchise’s new announcement (another Indy movie!) than to use a line from the ride. We will post our logo shortly, but good luck everyone!

Hello! We are a team of two and we are very excited to participate in our first Gumball Rally. We are both big Disney fans and are very nerdy. The name of our team is Quality Assurance Ride Testers abbreviated as Q.A.R.T.

The following pictures will be on our shirts. The one with full team name is the main logo and will be on the back of our shirt. The one with the abbreviated name will be on the front pocket of our shirt. And the one with the robot will be on the sleeve of our shirts.

My best friend and I are the "Honorary Junior Chipmunks" and this is the logo that will be on our shirts. We got the name from one of our favorite (and totally underrated!) Disney movies "The Emperor's New Groove", it's hilarious and doesn't get as much credit as it should! We are fluent in Chipmunk and are ready to rock this Gumball Rally!

My oldest son and I have participated in the last 2 Rallys. Last year we raced with our friends, another mother & son. This year we are changing things up a bit.

The moms, Judy & Alisa, are participating as team Just a Spoonful of Victory. We are practically perfect in everyway (not) but we know that in order to win we will take our cue from Mary Poppins, In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun, and - SNAP - the job's a game!

The older boys, Scott and Ari are participating as team Major Mickey, a reference to Major Lazer.

Our other sons, Josh and Eli are team Finding 1st Place, Hopefully Nemo will help these newbies find the Gumboil trophy!

My sister and I are making our second Gumball appearance. We are Material Ghouls. (Formerly Ancient Cambodian Shriners). Kinda like Madonna meets Leota. We were both born mid 60's... just the right age in the 80's to experience all of the great (and not so great) music of the 80's. Thought this time around to mix that up with my favorite ride...the Haunted Mansion!

This is my fourth time running Rally with my fourth different lineup of teammates. This year it will be just my girlfriend (her first Rally) and I. We are both scientists, and on our first date, our mutual love of Disneyland came up. I asked how she felt about the Autopia and this turned into an amazing discussion about how bad for the environment and human health the ride is. We talked about how the diesel-burning lawnmower engines really don't belong in Tomorrowland!

We ended up going to Disneyland to watch the fireworks to end the night, and its been our happy place since! Once I got her excited to run Gumball Rally, picking a theme for our team name was obvious! We are The FASTPASSES Initiative. Here, FASTPASSES stands for For A Safer Tomorrowland, Push Autopia to Switch to Sustainable Energy Sources. We have two missions on Rally day: to win the Gumball Rally trophy and spread the news of how bad diesel emissions are (only half kidding).

First Gumball!! Can't wait!!! My wife and I have special memories at Disneyland (proposal, honeymoon, 10th anniversary, etc.) This will be another special one!! As long time fans of the Matterhorn (I miss the old Harold) we are proudly named "Cinnamon Toast and Tacos"! Hopefully we can put our intimate knowledge of Disneyland to the test and win 1st place (or at least not come in last..)

My daughter and I will be making our Gumball Rally debut under the team name "Woody's Ride Wranglers". Our team logo, which was drawn by my daughter, shows Woody riding in a Mad Tea Party teacup. We chose this name and logo because it combines our love of Disney/Pixar and the theme parks. And the thought of Woody riding the teacups makes us laugh.

This year will be our third year at the Gumball Rally! Something my sister and I look forward to every year. This year the significant others want to play so we are doing an "Ultimate Disney Sister-Off"! Every year we have a blast, but have yet to make top 50 . This year there will be a winner! One sister against the other! My Dad is creating a trophy that will be passed to the winner in the family every year. If you win the race between the family, you get to keep the trophy on your mantel until the next Gumball Rally. I will also be positing our logos on Facebook/Instagram and have our friends/family/fellow gumball rally goers, vote! Feel free to also respond to this posting with your vote to help us have some friendly family competition .

This year we went with a Pirates of the Caribbean theme that both teams will use. My Team Name is "Dead Men Lose No Rallies". I am also submitting this post/contest for my Sister's Team: "Bloomin Cockroaches".
