I was kicking around this idea with some others even before joining micechat, but who thinks it would be nice to have a little meet on January 7th at DHS. This is the first day of the new Disney Hollywood Studios name and I think it would be pretty cool to get together on this interesting occaison. Who's in??? LOL

I'm guessing this will be a smaller meet because of the day of the week. I was thinking of planning a meet on the Saturday of my trip (the 12th) but then I saw this! :cwink:

MickeyMaxx and I will be in the area on this day and would love to attend. Our January trip this year includes my mother plus two non-MiceChat friends from Oceanside, so advance planning is extremely tricky. I'll let you know as we get closer to the day.

Sorry I haven't checked back much, but I am still working out some details to see if this is doable and who is interested. I would really just like to have a meet after opening near the front of the park. I am also open to doing something on the last day under the MGM name, a Sunday, which may be a little more nostalgic.

Is there someone here on micechat I could talk to about making this a official Micechat meet, meaning they would promote it much like they do many other meets???

I changed the vote to reflect you going.

I also changed the poll to remove the "No" votes - No point in knowing if all 20,000 micechatters can't make it. We only care about the ones who can or are going to try.

Well, it's official. Check under the Walt Disney World section for all the details on this January 6th, 2008. It will be a nice farwell to the Disney MGM Studios. Hope to see you all there!!!
