NOR CAL CHRISTMAS MEET/PARTY!?? Ideas??

So The Holiday Season is upon us. Last week at the Park i thought we should have a Christmas party! Dinner/Lunch and then do something in the Holiday Spirit. See a Christmas display or show, Ice Skating, Dickens Fair?

I would also like to proclaim The Desert Inn the Official HQ of Nor cal MCers attending the Mega Meet in January. Hurry and get you rerservations as they are only $59 a night thiat weekend right now!

So lets have some Idea's and Dates!

maybe we can combine this with the Toys For Tots event, either in Dec 8th or 15th (assuming that we need to do it on a Saturday)

Lunch and Ice Skating, Dublin CA? We can combine the Toys for tots and collect at the restuarant or the Rink?

For those who do not skate there is a large area of tables to sit and talk and watch us fall on our azzes.

We could also take a ride on the Christmas train at Roaring Camp in Santa Cruz and you'd all be welcome to come over to my house before or after the train ride.

Of course not...our house is "used to" nerds.

Laser tag or mini golf after the train would be fun too. There's also a bowling alley and karaoke for all ages across the street from the Boardwalk.

Oh! I hope I can make it that weekend.. My Grandpas annual Christmas party has been moved to the forst half of the month (Dec.) and I don't know the date.... Eeep! NOw I really have to call Mom and find out (tomorrow!).

Maybe we could have the meet in Santa Cruz? I do like the Dickens Fair too.

That is sooooo nice of you PBC!!!:love: I know that I would love to get together. Do a combo toys for tots/ holiday get together. I got tickets to see Color Purple on the 1st and will be at Disneyland on the 8th, but I am available the 15th-16th or even the 22nd-23rd.

Ken and I can definitely be available on the 15th both for the train ride and for having guests at our house before or after. If anyone would like to stay overnight, we have a few extra beds or we can recommend the names of a few good hotels down here.

I had suggested the 15th in Dublin/Pleasanton area as a good location to balance out bay area folk and valley folk.

Wondering about thoughts ?

If you guys wanna keep things in Dublin /Pleasanton area. Ken and I are flexible. We're staying at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose the night before that so we''ll just drive up from there instead of driving home.

Right now there is nothing on my calendar that's conflicting. That could change if I get a Christmas caroling gig. And Jimmie may or may not be scheduled to work. So I guess you could say we're a definite maybe.

and what time is all this going to be happening? That will make the biggest impact on if I can go or not. I live in Concord, so I'm only like 15 minutes away, but I have a show to do that evening so we will see.
