2018 Gumball Rally Team Name and Logo Contest

The 2018 MiceChat Gumball Rally is rolling your way on Saturday, February 3rd. But the competition is already heating up. Aside from rally placement, we will give away three unique awards at the Gumball Rally, one for Best Team Name, one for Best Team Logo, and a Team Spirit Award.

We invite teams who would like to be in consideration for the Logo and Name contests to post their names and/or logos here and make their best case for why they should win. They can lobby all they want, but the final voting will be done by the 100+ Rally volunteers on game day. They'll get a complete list of all candidates who entered in this thread and then turn in their votes for Best Team Name, Best Team Logo and Team Spirit Award at the end of their shift.

So, let's see what you've got folks. Show us your creativity!

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Entries MUST be received by 7 pm on Wednesday, January 31st.

This is my 5th Gumball Rally! I have brought many different people in on the fun in the last 4 years. This year I will be competing against all of them and it will be so fun! I have 2 new people this year and we are ready for the adventure. My favorite ride is Matterhorn. Since we are bounding as princesses we thought the name was perfect.

My mom and I are coming back for our 5th year as “As Lost As Alice”!!

Every year my mom races around on her scooter (while I chase after her) for the chance to be named gumball race champion! While we’ve yet to gain the title, we’ve always made the top 50, which is pretty amazing when you consider how hard it is for her to still compete physically within the confines of the rules and navigate a scooter in a busy park! But last year we made it to 25th as “what would dory do?”!!!!

This year we’re back with a vengeance (as long as we don’t get lost!!)

This is my third rally, and the second for each of my teammates. Last year, our team of 3 finished in 12th....and the top ten is CALLING!

Hello! It's our second year competing! Last year was our first time at the Gumball Rally and we made the top 50 which was great! We're hoping to at least do better than we did last year! Our team name is Bitter Bellhops, we kept the name from last year. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Can't wait to join the fun for this event! I'm racing as media so you may see me using my phone to do Facebook lives and other promos during the actual event. But don't worry, while I'm following all the other rules, I'm not racing to win . . . I mean, I'm always racing to win, just not officially.

This is my first time racing and I'll be joined by one of my high school friends, Melissa. We'll be racing at "Dodgers in Disneyland" since we're both big Dodgers fans and have a love for all things Disneyland. We're still wiping our tears over their World Series loss, so it's only appropriate that our team slogan is "#ThisTeam just might win 2nd place". We'll be at the cocktail party Friday night too, so hope to see you there!

This is our second year racing. This year we put out logo on the back of our shirt....since that's all anyone else will see all day long...LOL. Have a great race everyone. Can't wait to meet all the other Disney/Rally fans.

Hey everyone! This is our first time in the Rally! We are really excited for it and love that it is Alice in Wonderland themed. As some of you may know, Lewis Carroll is noted for his facility at word play. For example, in the Alice book there is this passage:

'Mine is a long and a sad tale!' said the Mouse, turning to Alice, and sighing.
'It is a long tail, certainly,' said Alice, looking down with wonder at the Mouse's tail' 'but why do you call it sad?'

In WWII, Germany and their allies were called the "Axis of Power." So in the spirit of Lewis Carroll, our team name is "Axes of Power" with a logo of the Red Queen brandishing a pair of axes with her favorite saying embroidered upon her clothing. And, of course, we couldn't stop there, so we took the Gumball Rally tagline "Are You Ready to Roll" and replaced it with "Heads Will Roll".

We look forward to seeing everyone on Feb 3!

Our team name is: Pink, Striped, and Filled with Advice. Say it like "Sugar, spice, and everything nice." Our logo is from the T-Shirts we found online, which features everything in our team name; pink, stripes and advice.

Hi! This is our 2nd year competing and we're excited to be back! Our team name is Bibbidi Bobbidi Booze! We didn't get to register our team name last year so we are bringing it back for a second run. We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the Rally!

This is our 1st year competing. Our team name is "Red Rose Painters" Me & my daughter are very excited. We heard about the event from a friend last year. We love Disney and competition, so we thought we give it a try. We are aiming for the top 10. Not sure if this is possible for the first year and not knowing what to expect. But we are going to give it our all and have a Magical time.

My sister and I have been dreaming of attending this event for years. Our father passed away in October and we finally decided that we couldn't put it off any longer. Our team name is "The Tinker Belle's," nobody enjoyed a play on words quite as much as our papa did. He passed right before a masquerade ball he helped organize and wanted to attend with us took place, it was steampunk themed this year so, partly in honor of our papa and partly for our love of Beauty and the Beast here we come!! We can't wait to meet everybody and have a great time our first year out!!

A few years ago, we got the opportunity to meet Olaf at the park and we were excited as we heard he gave snug warm hugs.

What we hadn't heard until it was too late, was that his hugs weren't just snug, they were sometimes lethal.

Not many people knew that occasionally and with the warmest of intentions, Olaf hugged people to death.

We took our chances that day at the park ( it was Olaf !!) and we survived, but we heard a rumor somewhere that Alice, alas, had not.

Our team honors Alice's memory and also serves as a friendly reminder - sometimes warm hugs can be very, very cold.

This is our first Gumball Rally and we face our trepidation and the challenge, like we faced potential death by Olaf -

When flowers sing and doorknobs talk, and strange and frightening sounds echo down the rabbit hole. Whenever teacups clatter where the air is deathly silly — that is the time when hatters are present, pouring their tea with ghoulish delight!

Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Gumball Rally. We are here to boast...to ghost boast. Kindly step out of our way please, and make room for our tutus. There’s no turning back now….

Our race begins here in this wonderland, where you see faces of some of our teams as they appear in their non-caffeinated, morning state. Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis. Are the walls along Main Street actually stretching? Or is it your imagination — hmm? And consider this dismaying observation: this competition allows no shortcuts and no breaks… which offers you this chilling challenge: to find a way through the strollers! Ha ha haaa...Of course, there’s always our way…*

Oh, we didn’t mean to frighten you prematurely. The real chills come on February 3rd. Now, as they say, “look alive”....

*In all honesty we have no strategy for this. Strollers are our downfall. Why so many? Why so big? Is that a wagon?! But I digress…


My mom and I are ready to roll at our 7th gumball rally, and my husband is donning his 3rd tutu this year! We are excited to see familiar faces and meet new teams in less than two weeks! No matter what happens, win or lose, we can all agree on one thing - thank goodness there’s no grad night!
