2020 Gumball Rally Team Name & Team Logo Contest

This will be my 4th Gumball Rally and I have always had fun. With that said we had a rough time deciding on our logo and team name this year as there were so many possibilities to be had. I then remembered that back in 1959 when the Matterhorn,Monorail and Submarine Voyage opened, then Vice President Richard M. Nixon was present for the dedication of all three attractions along with reviewing a parade down main street. Although Mildred Nelson broke the bottle of champagne on the subs Mr. Nixon was on the first excursion as well as riding with his daughter and Walt on the dedication run of the Matterhorn. He also did the dedication of the Monorail twice that day,once in the morning for the published press to get the story across the wire and a second time for television in the afternoon. With all that history we had to incorporate him into our team logo and name. And so I present to you

Just up ahead we have this year’s beautiful Gumball Rally trophy. I’ll go ahead and scare if off like I did the last 8 trophies we didn’t win…. “I LOVE YOU!”

In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve decided to combine the anniversary of the submarines with another of our favorite rides. Our terrible puns go on for niles and niles and niles...and if you don’t believe me…. You’re in de-Nile. These jokes can travel over 20 feet, but don’t worry - you’re only 15 feet away, so they should go right over your head.

We are coming up on the most dangerous part of our journey - the return to La Brea Bakery. If you enjoyed this team introduction I’m Skipper Lauren. If not, I’m Not Surprised.

This will be my family’s 9th Gumball Rally, and we still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! This year, my team is just Caleb and me, which we haven’t done before. So excited to be spending this day with my boy! Btw, he is turning 18 a week after the rally, and he started participating in the rally when he was just 10. Thank you Micechat for providing this wonderful event that we have had the chance to enjoy for many years now. 😊

This year, Caleb and I would like to remind past rally teams of 2015 about a certain Mr Toad question that no one could really answer, because no one knew what it was. We were all sent merrily on our way to find nothing in particular! Good news...we all got credit for it, so thank you Matt for writing the question like you did. This one is dedicated to you. Happy birthday weekend to me and to #MiceAgeMiceChat. I looked up my account on the forums and I became an "official" member in 2007, although I religiously followed Al Lutz articles for years before. I finally braved the boards, and eventually braved an event by myself. Everyone took me right in and made me feel like I finally belonged somewhere, to something special. I have seen members come and go, like seasons happen. I have watched our group grow and change into the beautiful group it is now. Through anniversaries, 24 hr events, noon meets, trips, and rallies. I can even remember people's usernames lol, bc that's how we knew each other lol!
I have weathered a lot in my life during these 13 years, but MC and MC family have been a constant. Thank you all for creating this beautiful Disney family I can be myself with other Disney passionate people, (and not feel like I'm crazy- Disneyland again!?!) So cheers to my 13 years of membership and to MiceAge/MiceChat 17th!!! Episode IV

The Return of the 2319 Jedi

Four Master Jedi from planet 2319 have returned to Disneyland park in an attempt to spoil the plans of the diabolical racketeer S. WH. Sock.

Little do the four Jedi know that the GALACTIC SOCK-PIRE has secretly created a powerful army of toxic sock-troopers who will be unleashed in a matter of days, leading to an event more dreaded than the Sockpocalypse of 2019.

If allowed to run rampant, the sock-troopers will wreck havoc on the park,shooting tiny toxic socks at everyone, cause everyone to take off their left shoe. This ultimate army will spell certain doom for the rebel alliance unless the four Jedi can visit every attraction and still cross the finish line on time...

This is my friend and I's 4th year doing the gumball rally; however, this year we added 2 newbies to our team, so we are excited to take on the challenge of doing the rally with 4 people, instead of 2. We always change up our name a bit, but always use "2319," somewhere in our team name, which is why this year we are team, "Return of the 2319 Jedi!" See ya all out there on Saturday!

We are the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (SEA)!

… well, the Junior chapter anyways.

Just like the SEA, the Junior Society of Explorers and Adventurers is dedicated to the continued exploration of the world's oceans and exotic lands! Unlike the SEA, the Junior Society of Explorers and Adventurers is an open organization and allows anyone to join if they have a hankering for adventuring. We also only have two members because everyone thinks we are a “joke” society.

Joining the actual SEA is near impossible. I mean, have you seen their membership criteria? It’s ridiculous! You literally have to “collect, conserve, and curate valuable cultural and artistic artifacts from around the world and make them available to the public in an artistically pleasing and sensitive manner” to even be considered. Do you know how many artifacts the SEA has already discovered??

BUT, we have plan to join the SEA! There is a special artifact that only appears once a year at a magical place called Disneyland. It is the Gumball Rally Trophy. The artifact is so rare, hundreds of adventurers travel each year to Disneyland to seek out this relic. However, the window of opportunity to obtain the Gumball Rally Trophy is only 24 hours and once you miss it, it’s gone until the next year. Our research suggests that the trophy will appear again this Saturday!

The Junior Society of Explorers and Adventurers will climb the highest of mountains and dive down the deepest of oceans to obtain the Gumball Rally trophy. We are even willing to travel the furthest reaches of the galaxy! Once we obtain this rare and coveted artifact, the SEA will no doubt let us join their secret society!

Get ready everyone! The Junior Society of Explorers and Adventurers is ready to race you to the trophy!

Hi everyone!

This is our first year participating and the three of us are very excited.

We are playing as Once Upon a...SQUIRREL!

Part of why we chose that as our team name is that our mom is easily distracted and a coffee shop even misheard her name and wrote it as Dug once. Thankfully, she thought it was hilarious and its kind of stuck as a nickname now. Then we have my sister, and team captain, who loves The Sword In The Stone but has a had time finding anything with the characters on it(until very recently). And since there is a fairly long bit with Merlin and Wort as squirrels being chased around by an girl squirrel and getting into all kinds of chaos it all kind of fell into place. As for me, I love the Matterhorn but with the older cars that didn't hurt so much. And of course it had to be train 13 since that was Walt's favorite number. So here is my way of mashing all of that together in a 1960's paper cut style.


We can't wait to meet you all this weekend!
