It's not really a Disney moment, but one I'll never forget. When I was a little boy, I was walking out of the People Mover not paying attention to where I was going and I walked right into a pole knocking my tooth out. It was already loose, but that did the trick.

This a real Disney moment for our family, especially my son. This past July 4th was his 18th birthday. He is a huge DLR fan so we went to DLR for the day, we live in Tucson so it was a drive. During the Celebrate parade the cms saw his birthday pin and pulled our whole family into the parade. We danced, we played, we had a blast. We went back to our spot and in a short while they gave him and my youngest daughter a drum to drum along with them, after that Mickey up on the float gave him a air high five. My son was totally in his glory. We all were.

                    KIDNAPPED BY THE POLITE POLICE

I used to write really snide and disrespectful rants, in a public forums, about other people when they wrote with poor grammar. Then somebody came along, shamed me for being such a jerk and put me in my place. Now, I try to be reasonable and not act intolerant towards others over something as pointless as how well they write, even if what they write bugs me.

I'm picking up what you're throwing down. I guess I should be ashamed of being such a jerk, right? I'm not an unreasonably intolerant person - I'm just pointing out that it takes just as much (or little) effort to type things properly as not, and I don't think I am alone in immediately skimming over posts such as the OP's - the lack of punctuation and capital letters makes for a difficult read.

Actually, there is no hypocrisy involved here. sunnygirl went out of her way to belittle and ridicule BlondeMafia, over a matter of grammar. What I did was more along the lines of using ironic juxtaposition to point out how rude and inconsiderate sunnygirl was being to BlondeMafia. Those two things may seem somewhat alike, but the similarity is very superficial. No. I'm not kidding.

sunnygirl, feel free to pick up whatever you like, but I was right in what I said. You may have thought that you were 'just pointing out...' whatever, but it's how you did it that I took issue with. Had you made a polite statement about how BlondeMafia could get a better response if she wrote with better grammar and punctuation, that would have been nice. Better yet, you could have sent a private message about it. But you decided to jab BlondeMafia with a pointy stick, in public, over something as innocuous as grammar. I just 'picked up' the sharp stick and showed you how unpleasant it is to get stuck with it. From the tone of your reply, I'd say it kinda' ticked you off. So, how do you think you made BlondeMafia feel?

Chip and Dale have always been polite to me. I have never corrected their kindness.

You didn't tick me off in the slightest. I thought it was sweet. I got your point, and I still get your point, although you're less "jabbing me with a pointy stick" than "beating me over the head with a blunt object" at this point. As for being nice, well, not everybody is nice nowadays, are they? I'll save that for those who are good at it.
