Here's some of the things I observed.

I got there at about 6:00am and was about third in line at first turnstile on the left of the big gate....

Funniest Moment: Eisner getting booed... TWICE. Once while opening the gate and interviewing the first visitor, again during his 50th speech. Hilarious, and awkward...

Coolest Surprise: POTC Cannon balls. Scared the CRAP outta me when I was half asleep...

Overall Food Service: Longer than most lines! The micechat food line was close to an hour!

Funniest Guest Moment: A woman in an ECV began plowing through the crowd after Disneyland security let us past the first rope. A teenage girl got in front of the ECV and got her tendons MESSED UP! When we reached the second rope, the lady on the ECV ran over the girl's foot again causing her shoe to come off. The lady tried to get the shoe from underneath her cart but couldn't reach it, soooo she back up and ran over TWO MORE people's feet behind her! The woman screamed as the ECV stayed on her foot for about 10 seconds... After all was said and done, the ECV woman just muttered to herself and shook her head.

Most Common Excuse To Cut In Front Of You: I need to catch up with my kids/friend/mom/group. Mind you I was just about in the front of the middle turnstile, and theoratically, I should have been one of the first to the rope halfway down mainstreet. Of course, even though there was PLENTY of Disneyland security telling everyone to walk, as soon as they were let in everyone bolted down the street almost knocking down CM's and nearly running through the planters! So, when I finally reached the rope after walking through and smiling at CMs, I was about 6 rows back. That's when everyone started saying they needed to catch up to their group. Well I was about to let people get in front of me after I had been the first one at my turnstile and WALKED down mainstreet liked I was told. This prompted a lot of comments from those that couldn't catch up with their group. Many other early morning guests refused to let people pass also saying that they also had family that they couldn't reach...

Best Ride Changes: Hands Down the best refurbed ride was the Jungle Cruise. Absolutely awesome.

Funniest Micechat Moment: After introducing myself to Dusty, he said "Oh, so YOU'RE Soulquarian. Haha, great stuff.

Best Attraction That Most People Will Skip: Disneyland Gallery and Disneyland: The First 50 Years. Donald Duck and Steve Martin are hilarious together, and the film shows so much of the attractions of yesteryear. The exhibit is fascinating, especially to someone as young as myself whose never seen the ticket books. Highly recommended for Disney Fans.

Coolest Name Tag: TicTocDragon. That is all

Coolest Event That I though Was Going To Suck: DCA's Block Party Bash. The CMs are energetic, the floats are really cool, and the music is infectious. It's always fun to see parents have fun with their kids...

Most Inconsiderate Action: The woman who were in the front row before the ceremony started who put up umbrellas everytime two or three raindrops fell. It was SO crowded and everyone behind the wall of umbrellas was plain out of luck. Thank God it didn't rain during the actual 50th Ceremony... People were getting testy!

What Funny or Cool things did you guys see?

omg... the blanket thing is a pain in the !@#!$ ..

There was a blanket incident on friday with me, my girlfriend, aunt, and cousin... we went to the front of the castle to get good seats... my aunt had just lost her husband to cancer two weeks before and needed to get out of the house... anyways we had to get my aunt out of the house, and she loves disneyland....
anyways... there was a woman with a blanket in front of the rope and the curb was open so we sat down....around 630pm

I was there talking to the people around us having fun for about two hours... right before the show was about to start these teenage girls sat on the blanket and there was no problem ...
all of a sudden my girlfriend is giving me a look... so i look over her shoulder and this girl is being obnoxious and starts yelling at my girlfriend and starts pushing against my girlfriends back telling my girlfriend to get off the curb and sit on the sidewalk...

this girl then starts telling her mother that this "ethnic" woman is bothering her... so we start in a yelling match with these teenage girls... the teenage sister of the girl says "she let us sit there" and that they have been there since 4 pm... All I know is that we were sitting there since 6:30...
She then gets real obnoxious and yells out loud, "im sorry but my sister has diarreha, and shes not wearing underwear". there was an adult with these girls, but this woman does nothing to settle these girls down... another adult sitting next to us pointed out a security CM, so as soon as i got up to let them know... the girls moves, security cant really do anything, and we watch the show...

while we were waiting the girls became more obnoxious and were making comments about my girlfriend and aunt... What is really upsetting is that the adult woman who was with those girls talked to us while we were waiting, did not say anything to control those girls... and these girls must have been passholders.. the kind that no person should have to endure while at the park...

the firework show was great, unfortunatetly those girls have ruined the expieriance of the show for us and i will always have them in mind waiting for this beautiful show... hopefully i can forget this happend...but it was a really bad way to start off my aunts first viewing of this great show...

i felt like complaining at city hall, but what can they do ?
So, as they say at Big Thunder Mountain -- "Hold on to your hats and glasses cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" i like west better

I had a blanket incident, too, with some lady yelling at me when I hadn't even done anything! There were too many unhappy people there on the 5th
      Good morning, son
      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
      It was pain
      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

EXCUSE ME BUT THAT WAS MY FAMILY AND MY SISTER! how dare you. ok i was trying to be nice and i told you that my sister was sick, shes immature, and ignorant and she doesnt like to think that she didnt get her way. now i told you that she would move. and again the security guard told my friends mom who was sitting there that "everyone likes to have fun in different ways, and you were making a big deal out of nothing" she was sick! and you kept trying to get a reason why she wasnt there at 4 like use so i told you why. and her not wearing underwear was an inside joke, which was y we all laughed because we make fun of her constantly for that. so dont go and say stuff k? i TRIED to be super nice, not raise my voice, and try to settle it cause we were all tired and not int he mood to start fighting. you are the 1 who just started yelling at her rather than ask her to move. AND YES WE R ARE ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS which means nothing! we dont think we have more rights or anything! im sorry if im being rude but you were just making a big deal out of my sister being rude ignorant and immature, which i told you she was. and no i was just trying to have fun and i wasn't saying anything to be mean or make fun of you after you started the hoopla. and i hope you do keep us in mind every time you wait, maybe next time you'll ask politely and wont start stuff again.

AND THE FACT ABOUT US COMING RIGHT BEFORE THE FIREWORK SHOW IS BULL. do u want me to tell u the story cause i am
ok so right after block party bash ended we got a call from my friends mom who was waiting in front of the castle that she wasnt feeling well and had to go to the bathroom but she couldnt leave her little 5 year old son alone so i told her id go to the castle and wait while she went to the bathroom. so i sat there for about 2 hours and then she came back and i said i was going to go and watch parade of dreams cause i love parade of dreams so i go and somewhere between there and when i came back my other friends returned to the blanket from the hotel room cause like i said my sister was ill and had to go back to the room. so we all sit down and i go to the bathroom to change because i didnt get to go to the room since i had to go and wait with my friends little brother and i was in a skirt and tank top. when i come back i lay down and then my sister ran to the bathroom because she was ill and had the u no wat. she comes back in a bad mood and was upset about you guys "sitting" on our blanket, which u werent and we told her to calm down because it wasnt a big deal. THATS WHEN YOU BLEW UP! do u understand how we didnt come right before the show started. mmhmm thats wat i thought.

im sorry your aunt lost whomever but what does that have to do with anything. i lost my cat a little before do u want me to state that? yes well i hope you understand what really happend

Its your own self in charge of your OWN emotion...especially when you were trying to make me feel bad, because i was sick and wanted to see the wonderful fireworks show...you made a huge dilemma over nothing, and didnt i move so your AUNT could see the show, YES i did, so why did you make a huge deal over nothing?? hmmm

Best Suprise: getting soaked on jungle cruise...
              parade of dreams being GORGEOUS!!

Best laugh: when i was goign through the crowd to get to my family this lady with hair down to her ankles wouldnt let me pass to my sister and so i whispered to my friend that she had lice and then she turned around and called me a stupid @*&#%..we laughed about that for like 4 hours

              Best Show: FIREWORKS!!!

Rudest people: people in back of us at fireworks

Worst part of the day: not being able to see anything at opening ceremony

Best part: standing near the front of the line entering on the 5th, and when we got in we went and hugged tweedle dee and dum and we were on the TV my grandpa said

Best thing: finishing up a 500 piece disneyland 50th puzzle in the room

weridest thing: that some of the lines for food were longer then actual ones for the rides!!

rudest CM: getting totallly yelled at TOT for putting my feet up WHAT A RUDE CM TOTALLY RUDE

totally weird thing: seeing puddles of vomit EVERYWHERE at least 5 everyone was getting sick

best food: definitley ARIEL-LESS GROTTO BREAD!!

oh, please you are such an actress... crying are you serious... i did not say anything to you after you moved... i also recall you said, that if you threw up you were going to turn around and make sure you get it on my girlfriend.... real nice and pleasent arent we??

its so funny how you feel you did nothing wrong... you purposely put your back against my girlfriend pushing her, trying to push off the curb... there are no rules for people with blankets..
and after the fact... you kept going on and on... and to be so disgusting yelling out that your sister had diarhrea.... so uncalled for, and you kept going and going trying to justify it...

the point i was trying to tell you... your mom or whatever she is... saw us sit down, we talked to her said hi, sat down.. you guys had plenty of room to sit down in front of the row and enjoy the show... we were only sitting down on the curb... you sister did not have to be rude, and you didnt have to sit there and act like you owned the place or were better than anyone for seeing the show the night before... we were there and we brought my aunt there to enjoy the show as well...

the real problem is that there is only one way to enjoy the show and thats in front of the castle... and tempers will raise when people are not considerate of others... its the happiest place on earth and sometimes it can bring the worst out in people too...

i saw alot of people arguing the night before as well... its too crowded in that area... hopefully now that the media will be gone that would eleviate some of that congestion....

a wise person once said ...."Its your own self in charge of your OWN emotion...especially when you were trying to make me feel bad...."

hmm wouldnt that apply to your sister as well??
So, as they say at Big Thunder Mountain -- "Hold on to your hats and glasses cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" i like west better

Two to the power of two hundred and seventy-six thousand seven hundred and nine, to one against. Which oddly enough are the exact odds of being picked up by a passing ship in space within 30 seconds. And by a staggering coincidence, that is also the telephone number of the Islington flat where arthur dent once went to a fancy dress party and met a girl, whom totally blew it with.
                                    What an idiot....

Yeah, I do that Twitter thing.

AND YES WE R ARE ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS which means nothing! we dont think we have more rights or anything! im sorry if im being rude but you were just making a big deal out of my sister being rude ignorant and immature, which i told you she was. and no i was just trying to have fun and i wasn't saying anything to be mean or make fun of you after you started the hoopla. and i hope you do keep us in mind every time you wait, maybe next time you'll ask politely and wont start stuff again.

ok so right after block party bash ended we got a call from my friends mom who was waiting in front of the castle that she wasnt feeling well and had to go to the bathroom but she couldnt leave her little 5 year old son alone so i told her id go to the castle and wait while she went to the bathroom. so i sat there for about 2 hours and then she came back and i said i was going to go and watch parade of dreams cause i love parade of dreams so i go and somewhere between there and when i came back my other friends returned to the blanket from the hotel room cause like i said my sister was ill and had to go back to the room. so we all sit down and i go to the bathroom to change because i didnt get to go to the room since i had to go and wait with my friends little brother and i was in a skirt and tank top. when i come back i lay down and then my sister ran to the bathroom because she was ill and had the u no wat. she comes back in a bad mood and was upset about you guys "sitting" on our blanket, which u werent and we told her to calm down because it wasnt a big deal. THATS WHEN YOU BLEW UP! do u understand how we didnt come right before the show started. mmhmm thats wat i thought.

Reguardless of the circumstances it offended rez. A message board is to vent and share frustrations, among other things. If its offensive to you that rez shared with us the situation then mabey a message board is not the place for you. I mean no disrespect but by signing up and posting here you open yourself up to this. I am not taking sides in this dispute other than to say Im sorry rez was offended by your party. Reguardless of the circumstances that isnt rez's fault. Here is a simular situation I endured not long ago. I reciently got married (may 2nd) and the next night I took my new wife to a very expensive steakhouse for a celebratory dinner. The couple next to us had a child acting up in their booth. The Child was clearly tired and was amking a very loud fuss. The right thing to do for the sake of others is to take the child outside and calm him or leave for the night. That is not what happened. The child continued to scream and yell while the parents ignored him. This was an eight year old or so and in my opinion and expierence with children should have known better. It esclated to the point that my wife and I, among several others, had to complain to management until finally the family was removed. That situation nearly ruined a $250 dinner that I can't repeat and will be reminded of every time I go to a nice restaurant. Your sisters' situation was not your fault or hers but the situation remains and was hers and yours/your families responsibility to deal with it before it esclated...Your group ignored this aspect and ruined someone elses memory of this day. Like I said Im not trying to take sides other than to express how I would feel in Rez's place and I would have vented here just like Rez. I imagine most of us here would have done the same.
