    I find it amazing that someone would not only mock people for being clumsy canoe-paddlers, but also equate incompetence in handling a paddle with incompetence in driving a car.

    The canoes is one of those rides you only need to go on once to know you never want to go on again, unless everyone else in your canoe is on the UCLA rowing team. Get on there with a much of uncoordinated spastic people, and you will doing all the work, while they keep splashing you with water as they fail to lift their paddles out of the water for the next stroke.
