I've worked/volunteered at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire for more that 30 years and continue to enjoy meeting the public. I tried to compare it to what it would be like as a cast member with Disney and can say freedom sets it apart. Amazing things happen because they are not rehearsed. Disney cast members can smile and say only limited amount of things. The craziest cast members at Disney are the Skippers on the Jungle Cruise and they are held back to scripted lines. The Ren Faire has always been a wonderful escape each spring for me. If you've not ever gone or it's been a long time try going and experience a truly interactive experience.

This festival sounds like something Huell Houser would visit for his California's Gold TV series on PBS.

There should be a sticky thread called "This Day in Disney History." The company has a long history and this would be a good way to acknowledge it. Walt was born 112 years ago; that's quite a chunk of American history and culture.
