Thanks for the great article. I've never been to the Florida parks (never been on a plane for that matter) and hope to take my family next year. I will be sure to point out all those tributes to them. Also, you're right about the casino-looking carpet/waiting area. My first thought when I saw the pic was Vegas.

I also loved Al's editor's note :lol:I chuckled at the thought that it must really bug him enough to want to throw that in. Well, as a parent who has taken my kids for pics at Sears, YOU'RE RIGHT AL!

I am looking forward to the next article on the tributes that can be found on the new Haunted Mansion queue. (Like what is that wedding ring I saw on one of the pics in the past that they put on the ground in the new queue? What is the back story to that?)

    Anyway, thanks again, good stuff!

Mickey stays open even during the parades? HOW is that possible? He MUST be a magician to appear in both places! It must be nice to have the large air conditioned waiting line inside, but where is the theater? Maybe they could have had a false theater with the queue going through the rows of seats..at least it would satisfy nitpicky people like me. And the open stage could have had tons of more details, and a little comedy show with stage hands setting up, to entertain those waiting.

Mickey has his regular tux - maybe it should look a little more magician-like? Maybe all black or purple with a cape?

Four park icons on the shelf - Do the books represent MK?

Plain princess setting - I'm willing to give them a pass, since they're working on the permanent location in Fantasyland.

Like the devil in the details in this new meet'n'greet for mickey (I loved that got Mad Madam Mim in there.) I do agree that the queue for the Princess look stale, I would have actually picked it to look like the last scene from Captain EO, when the planet is colorful again (minus MJ and the rest of the cast from the movie), with the stone columns and some light Aladdin, PatF, Tangled and Fantasia (and 2000) refs here and there.

This article was very interesting. I really enjoyed reading it. But couldn't they have dressed up Princess side a little bit?
