Just a quick post to say thanks for the great column - you've captured the essence of the day brilliantly for those of us who weren't there.

Sue,
I am new to MiceChat but I wanted to let you know how beautiful your story was. I am wiping away tears as we speak. It really makes me long to come back to Disneyland since my first and only vust in 1987 (I was four). What a wonderful experience you had. My hat...er...ears off to the Sisney and the Cast members for doing something special like that along the Gold Carpet. That is truely what makes the Disney experience so magical.

Dearest Sue,
You've made me late for work today. This has been such a strangely emotional 3 days for me. Somehow, your words explan why I feel the way I do. Thank you so very much. Just as soon as I dry these tears, I'll head off to work.

p.s. My late grandfather would take me to Disneyland and would sing that song "Davey Crocket" to me, ya see, my name is David. Silly i know but I do have fond memories of my days with pop and Disney.Come to the dark side,we have cookies.

Beautiful. Thank you!"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

Great article! Made me very sad that I couldn't be there for this!
I just have to tell everyone that in the first picture of the cast members greeting people into the park, on the very left hand side is a grey-haired woman (Next to the person in the red sweatshirt).
That woman is my wonderful wife, Buffy! She was so excited to be greeting people!
