Just a quick post to say thanks for the great column - you've captured the essence of the day brilliantly for those of us who weren't there.

      Roll on part 2!

Your article was great Sue. It made me cry...walking down the carpet with your Golden Ears...all the Cast Members saying welcome home...it really touched me...What a great evening...and meeting Mr. Sherman! What a treat.

          Sue,

I am new to MiceChat but I wanted to let you know how beautiful your story was. I am wiping away tears as we speak. It really makes me long to come back to Disneyland since my first and only vust in 1987 (I was four). What a wonderful experience you had. My hat...er...ears off to the Sisney and the Cast members for doing something special like that along the Gold Carpet. That is truely what makes the Disney experience so magical.

            Dearest Sue,
You've made me late for work today. This has been such a strangely emotional 3 days for me. Somehow, your words explan why I feel the way I do. Thank you so very much. Just as soon as I dry these tears, I'll head off to work.

What a beautiful column, I laughed, I cried... I seriously cant wait to hear more. Thank you for your hard work and those great pictures.

p.s. My late grandfather would take me to Disneyland and would sing that song "Davey Crocket" to me, ya see, my name is David. Silly i know but I do have fond memories of my days with pop and Disney.

                Awesome!

I am sitting here at work with my eyes tearing up. Thank you for such a wonderful article, I cannot wait to read more. I will going "Home" in 14 days, taking my Mom to Disneyland for Mother's Day (it's all about family!) and I cannot wait to share it with my friends and extended family.

I've gotta say, this was a little on the sappy side. You got a little too emotional to keep me interested.

                    Sue,

Thank you very much for a very heart-warming article.

The part about the CMs welcoming people back home made my eyes well up.
I just couldn't help but think about how we all are truly family.

I eagerly await your next installment.

                      Thanks

                      What a cool experience!

I am bummed that you missed Buzz Light Year...but it is understandable considering the 'human' opportunities you had.

Great article! Made me very sad that I couldn't be there for this!

I just have to tell everyone that in the first picture of the cast members greeting people into the park, on the very left hand side is a grey-haired woman (Next to the person in the red sweatshirt).

That woman is my wonderful wife, Buffy! She was so excited to be greeting people!

(if anyone has a clearer pic I'd really love to have it!)

That was a beautiful article, Sue. Your writing is the perfect foil for MiceAge, bringing us a warm balance that's sorely needed sometimes. Perhaps its the feminine touch. Please write more often - it's a joy to read!

I echo all the other posts - great article Sue. I was tearing up right before I read your line "makes me tear up a little as I sit here and write about it", so it was so apropos.

                                    Thanks!

okay I joined JUST to tell you how great you did summing up the day. As someone who has her own personal Disney story, I have always said Disneyland was like my home town, I belonged. I am glad to know I am not alone in that feeling.
