  • FINDING KRAFTLAND - Will be screened this weekend!

Disney nuts everywhere rejoice. We have just received the following information from Richard Kraft regarding his new film, "Finding Kraftland":

The off-beat documentary, FINDING KRAFTLAND, about Disney collector Richard Kraft will be screening this weekend as an official selection at the 2nd Annual Central Florida Film Festival in Kissimmee, Florida. The feature film is hosted by "Disney World Top 7 Attraction" star Stacey J. Aswad.

FINDING KRAFTLAND was written and directed by Richard Kraft and Adam Shell and features interviews with such composers as Christophe Beck, Jon Brion, Danny Elfman, Alan Menken, John Ottman, Trevor Rabin, Graeme Revell and Marc Shaiman.
The film is about a Hollywood film music agent who drags his son through an obsessive quest to recapture his own childhood through a globetrotting trek riding hundreds of roller coasters, collecting thousands of toys and transforming their home into "Kraftland," a shrine to Disneyland and American Consumer Culture. A love story between father and son emerges via an almost maniacal pursuit of happiness.

The first screening is at 7pm at the Main Auditorium at the Osceola Center for the Arts on Friday, August 31, 2007. It screens again on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at 4:30pm at the Small Theatre at the Osceola Center for the Arts. Richard and Nicky Kraft and Stacey Aswad will be attending both screenings. For more info:

If you aren't local to Osceola Florida, we should have more information about the wide release of this film very soon.
