Class Action Lawsuit Filed for Ticketless
    Hannah Montana Fans

Prominent Pittsburgh and Tennessee law firms team up to pursue triple damages for members of fan club denied tickets to Hannah Montana show.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. and PITTSBURGH, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Thousands of fans who couldn't get tickets to the Hannah Montana live show at the official fan club website now have legal recourse.

Two prominent law firms with class action experience today announced that they have filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee against Interactive Media Marketing, Inc. and Smiley Miley, Inc. on behalf of a New Jersey woman and anyone else who joined the official Miley Cyrus Fan Club at mileyworld.com based on the club's representation that joining would make it easier to get Hannah Montana concert tickets. Miley Cyrus is the star of the Hannah Montana television program and live show.

"They deceptively lured thousands of individuals into purchasing memberships into the Miley Cyrus fan club, and that's why we're suing," said Rob Peirce, of Robert Peirce & Associates, P.C., a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- based law firm that filed the Hannah Montana lawsuit with attorney B.J. Wade from the firm of Glassman, Edwards, Wade & Wyatt of Memphis, TN.

The lawsuit is asking for treble damages for all members of the class action lawsuit and recovery of all attorneys' fees, as stipulated in the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act.

"Thousands of people joined the club based on the understanding that by joining they would be able to purchase Hannah Montana concert tickets before they were offered for sale to the general public," said Peirce.

"While the club and the website do not guarantee ticket availability, they explicitly state that members who log on shortly after tickets become available will have a good opportunity to get tickets. In reality, the vast majority of club members, including those who logged on at the appointed time or shortly thereafter, were unable to obtain concert tickets, " said Peirce.

According to the lawsuit, Interactive Media Marketing, Inc. and Smiley Miley, Inc., both Tennessee-based companies, knew or should have known that its membership vastly exceeded the number of available tickets.

The Hannah Montana class action lawsuit is filed in the name of Kerry Inman, a New Jersey woman who tried to log into the site to purchase tickets to the Atlantic City, NJ performance of the Hannah Montana "Best of Both Worlds" concert tour at the exact moment when tickets were to be made available for sale, but was unable to get the tickets.

"The scenario that the Inman family went through -- paying for a membership, then logging on to purchase tickets as soon as possible-this scenario has been replayed thousands, if not tens of thousands of times over the past few months," said Peirce.

The law firms are asking people who joined the Miley Cyrus Fan Club and couldn't buy tickets to the Hannah Montana show to call 1-800-543-9859 or go to www.peircelaw.com and click on the Hannah Montana link.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

People, this is a 13 year old girl we're talking about. She's really not that good to be this worked up about.

[Veruca Salt Voice]But I want Hannah Montana tickets nowwwww!!![/Veruca Salt Voice]

Did all the thousands of people who registered for the Miley Cyrus Fan Club honestly think there was a bottomless supply of tickets? And what about all the fans who joined the club and did receive tickets?

Plus, being "first in line" for tickets is only one benefit MileyWorld offers. As long as the club delivered on the rest (exclusive content, chat features, games, etc.), it's hardly misrepresented itself.

Had a friend take his Daughter. Said all it was, was a young girl jumping around lip syncing. However he said the young crowd was in absolute hysterics like they were wittnessing the second coming.

Maybe I'll sue the Rolling Stones for not getting that front row seat...

Welcome to the world of fan clubs....
              Good morning, son
              In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
              It was pain
              Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
