So what is interesting to me about this article is that Iger seems to be focused quite well on the synergy of the different segments of the company, I think this means we are going to see more movie based rides in the parks, not less. No wonder DCA is getting Carsland, Disney sold 100M model cars off the show.

Care to rephrase? I'm not sure whether to agree with you or not just yet!

'Cars 2' is coming because the first film did well enough to merit a sequel and it's merchandising blew the doors off of expectations. But also because it's so close to the heart of one John Lasseter.

Since it's opening day DL has offered guests from around the world the chance to drive a specially-designed car. "Carsland" featuring new technology seems like a fairly easy sell to give DCA it's own souped-up version of 'Autopia.' An attraction test-marketed since 1955? What a concept.
