    Sony, Disney package 'Toontown'

Toontown is coming to retailers in the fall. Disney Online in association with Buena Vista Games and Sony Online Entertainment's label Platform Publishing are set to announce a deal Thursday that will result in a boxed version of "Disney's Toontown Online." The title, the first massively multiplayer online game designed for kids and families, went live in May 2003 and costs $9.95 a month to play. The packaged version will cost $19.99 and comes with a two-month prepaid subscription. Platform Publishing also has secured a license to create an online version of "Toontown" specifically for Internet-connected video game consoles, but further details on that project are not yet available.
