  • Disney denies it's angling for tax breaks - OC Register 10/21/08

News: Disney denies it's angling for $120 million in tax breaks | disney, pringle, galloway, developers, million -

Why would Disney/Pringle Harry Sidhu as secure votes and needs a third vote. (Councilman Bob Hernandez isn't going to vote for it either, but he's not up for re-election. Councilwoman Lucille Kring owns a business in the area and can't vote on it.) So, the theory goes, Disney needs Eastman to win.

I think it is great that Disney is going to build two new hotels. I don't even mind if Anaheim forks over some tax money because they will make it back BIG over time. I hope that Disney puts some imagination and fantasy into the new hotels and does just build Hilton knock-offs.
