  • A Lyric To Remember...

    I have gotten a lot of complements about my sig line quote, which is a quote from the musical, Wicked. It speaks to my many wonderful friends and family in my life who have touched my life. I cannot hear this part of the song without wanting to cry.

    Are there any song lyrics that explain something in your life, bring you to tears, make you go hmmmm, or just plain make you laugh?
    Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
    I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

    May the Gumballs Be with You...Always.

    NO GOATS!

    Is this real
    Or am I dreaming?"

      Did you ever know that you're my hero,
      and everything I would like to be?
      I can fly higher than an eagle,
      for you are the wind beneath my wings.

      I giggle everytime I hear this song now

          Until the end of time
          I'll be there 4 U
          U own my heart and mind
          I truly adore U
          If God one day stroke me blind
          Your beauty I'd still see
          Love is 2 weak 2 define
          Just what U mean 2 me

          ~~~Adore by Prince~~~
          My favorite all time song.
            And it's been awhile
            Since I've seen the way the candles light your face
            And it's been awhile
            But I can still remember just the way you taste
              I am NOT a very sentimental person when it comes to song lyrics - I mostly get all barfy rather than teary-eyed. This Dickies song is the one that came to me first.
              You drive me ape
              You big gorilla
              You drive me ape,ape
              I wanna tell ya
              Swinging around from every town to town
              I swing around and I never come down
              City is a jungle now this is it
              Every time I look at you I go ape shoot
              You drive me ape
              You big gorilla
              You drive me ape,ape
              I wanna tell ya
              Swinging around from every town to town
              I swing around and I never come down
              City is a jungle now this is it
              Every time I look at you I go ape shoot
                "I've got a school boy's heart, novelist's eye, stought sailor's legs and a license to fly. I come with nomad's feet and some wanderin' toes that glide up my longboard to hang off the nose" -Jimmy Buffett "School Boy Heart"
                "I have a patheon of animals and a pagan soul, Vishnu & Gaia, Aztec and Mayan, dance around my totem pole"- Rush "Totem Pole"
                "Hey Dad look at me, think back and talk to me
                Did I grow up according to plan?
                Do you think I'm wasting my time doing all the things I wanna do?
                'Cuz it hurts when you disapprove all along.
                And now I try hard to make it
                I just want to make you proud
                I'm never gonna be good enough for you
                I can't pretend that I'm all right
                And you can't change me
                'Cuz we lost it all, nothing lasts forever
                I'm sorry I can't be perfect
                Now it's just too late and we can't go back
                I'm sorry I can't be perfect"- Simple Plan "Perfect"
                Perfect basically summed up my relationship with my father. I still get all teary eyed when I hear it.
                      I have always liked this song:
                      Things haven't been the same
                      since you came into my life.
                      You found a way to touch my soul
                      and I'm never ever ever gonna let it go.
                      Gave me back the paradise
                      that I thought I lost for good.
                      You helped me find the reasons why.
                      It took me by surprise that you understood
                      You knew all along
                      what I never wanted to say.
                      Until I learned to love myself
                      I was never ever loving anybody else
                      Happiness lies in your own hand.
                      It took me much too long
                      to understand how it could be
                      Until you shared your secret with me.
                            When i used to work for a corporation that had many layers of old management, it was too easy to give up and not fight for the new idea. It got harder and harder to show up for the blanderization of my little job. I'd listen to a Ramones song that was kind of an anthem to me that and I'd play it at extreme volume just before I arrived. It made me want to keep fighting against the status quo for new ideas and change. It's called "The Shape of things to come". If you sound like me, then it may be your anthem too.
                            "There's a new sun, rising up angry in the sky,
                            and there's a new voice sayin "we're not afraid to die".
                            There are changes, lyin ahead in every road, and there are new thoughts ready and waiting to explode. Well tomorrow, is the day the bell may toll for some,
                            BUT NOTHING CAN CHANGE THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME!
                            Angry young man syndrome..it's a punk thing.
                              I think about you baby, and I dream about you all the time.
