  • What's Your Favorite Line/Scene/Character - From Any Movie?

Pretty simple. It doesn't have to be your most favorite movie, but it can be if you'd like. I know for a lot of people there will be a lot to choose from. It can be any you can think of, whether a line, a scene, a character or all of the above. Post multiple times if you'd like, whenever you think of one. I'll start.......

One of my favorite scenes that comes to mind is the one of Heath Ledger, dressed as the Joker, in the nurse's outfit coming out of the hospital and trying to get the bomb remote to work. One of the best and funniest moments in the movie!!! Laughing my butt off!! :lmao:

    Anybody got any to share?

I have many favourite moments but the one that for some reason springs to mind immediately is this great exchange from Casablanca: -

Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds?
Captain Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!
[a croupier hands Renault a pile of money]
    Croupier: Your winnings, sir.
Captain Renault: [sotto voce] Oh, thank you very much.

Mike Meyers as Austin Powers in Goldmember:

Austin Powers: Nice to mole you... meet you. Nice to meet you, Mole.
[to Foxxy as Basil & The Mole leave]
            Austin Powers: Don't say mole.
            Foxxy Cleopatra: Now stop.
            Austin Powers: I said mole.
            Foxxy Cleopatra: Stop.
            [Basil gestures him to hush]
            Number Three: Bye.
            Austin Powers: Mole.
[Basil & the Mole try again to leave]
            Austin Powers: Mole.
[Basil warns him again to hush]
            Austin Powers: Mole.
            Basil Exposition: Oh, shut up!
Austin Powers: [Basil and The Mole walk out and Austin lets loose] Moley, moley, moley, moley, moley!

                  "NO WIRE HANGERS, EVER!!"

                  "Tina! Bring me the axe!"

"Don't **** with me fellas. This ain't my first time at the rodeo."

and many other endless screechings by Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford.

                  Plus:

"English? I suppose we must, the refuse to learn French."

"Do you mean to say it is not finished?"
"No sir, I mean to say it is not yet begun"
"Good God! A week man! The entire Earth was created in a week!"
"Someday, Mr. Adams, you must tell me how you did it."

"Dolly Levi, you are a dammed exasperating woman!"
"Why Horace, Vandagelder, that is the nicest thing you have ever said to me."

"An banana a day keeps the doctor away"
"you mean an apple a day"
"Who ever head of a doctor slipping on an apple peal?"

"C'mon Dover! Move your bloomin' 'arse!"

"*whispered in the second Mrs. de Winter's ear* Why don't you..."

"This Island Earth can be yours if the price is right!"

"England has always been disinclined to accept human nature."

"Badges? We ain't got no badges! We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinking badges!"

"I could dance with you until the cows come home. On second thought, I'd rather dance with the cows until you came home!"

"You know, one night may moons ago, I once proposed to your mother."
                  "That was my father."
"No wonder he turned me down."

                  "Thank you!"
                  "Thank yo!"

"The party of the first part of this contract, shall be known as the party of the first part."

"Gentlemen, Chicolini here may talk like an idiot, and look like an idiot, but don't let that fool you: he really is an idiot."

"All I can promise you is a Rufus over your head"

"Chicolini, you are charged with high treason, and if found guilty, you will be shot. "
                  'I object. "
'You object? On what grounds? "
"I couldn't think of anything else to say."
                  "Objection sustained."
"Your majesty, you sustain the objection?"
"Sure, I couldn't think of anything else to say either. Why don't you object?"

"I want to be alone." (Groucho or Greta saying it)

"Listen to me, mister. You're my knight in shining armor. Don't you forget it. You're going to get back on that horse, and I'm going to be right behind you, holding on tight, and away we're gonna go, go, go!"

                  "Great Scot!"
                  "I know this is heavy."

"is he always this happy or only when he's wanted for murder?"

"John, who are you talking to?"
                  "No one sir."
"Well you know what they say about people who talk to themselves"

"The waltz is for old people"
                  "Oh is it?"

"You poor, simple fools! Thinking you can defeat me! Me! The mistress of all evil!"

"Can a man live without honor?"

"Would a ape make a doll that could talk!?"

"Do you expect me to talk Goldfinger?"
"No Mr. Bond I expect you to die!"

                  "My she was yar."

"You're the worst kind, an intellectual snob."

"*cheerfully* Everybody fine? *depressingly* That's fine."

"WE THE WHITE GOD FEARING CITIZENS OF ROCK RIDGE would like to express our extreme displeasure with your choice of sherrif! Please remove him immediately!"

                  "A wed wose. how womantic."

"*to the camera* Why am I asking you all these questions?"

"We're gonna catch those thieves red handed!"
"What colour are thier hands now?"

                  "Look daddy a bear!"
"No honey, that's a frog, bears wear hats."

"Does Barry Manilow know that you raid his wardrobe?"

"Do ya have witches in America?"
"Ya, we just spell them differently."

"You call this a drink? The last time I saw a specimine like this they had to shoot the horse!"

"What three books would you have taken?"

"Star sapphires take a week to crystallize properly. Would diamonds or emeralds do?"
