We have a front page filled with amazing content. We offer weekly meetups in the parks. Meets and events all over the world. Podcasts and videos. And we continue to maintain forums for your posting convenience. But with all those options, we can't be everywhere all the time. We need YOUR help. Please don't poke the trolls. Report posts and leave reputation. We'll do our best to keep the forums clean and active, but we can't do so without your help.

    The Orlano Sentinel is reporting today that dispite the financial downturn, the amusement parks in Florida have increased thier spending for lobbying the Florida state government.

    What they spent on lobbying
    Disney World
    Paid three firms between $120,000 and $220,000 in 2008, up from $80,000 to $180,000 spent in 2007.
    Universal Orlando
    Spent between $70,000 and $150,000 on a pair of lobbying firms in 2008, up from between $40,000 and $120,000 the previous year.
    SeaWorld Orlando
    Paid five firms between $200,000 and $380,000, compared with between $170,000 and $330,000 in 2007.
