I know the movie Murder by Death's characters were based on other famous detectives. But, I'm having a problem figuring out a couple.

Milo Perrier--Hercule Perot/Murder on the Orient Express
    Sam Diamond--Sam Spade/Maltese Falcon
    Jessica Marbles--Miss Marples/Agatha Christie

I finally figured out who Dick and Dora Charleston were...and forgot again. It's been driving me crazy.

    And what about Sidney Wang?

Sidney Wang is a facsimile of Charlie Chan, IMHO.

And Dick and Dora...I thought they were to be like the couple from The Thin Man?

    Peace,

      That's "Nick and Nora Charles."

"Lionel Twain" is the best named character, though.

YEAH! Garsh, forgot to say the names! That's them! I suppose I could have done a wiki!

Loved those movies when i saw them ages ago. Maybe I need to repay them a visit!

It is. But, you will probably have to buy in online.

My husband bought me it and CryBaby for our anniversary last year. two pretty hard to find movies.

I love Murder by Death! Great film. Another one that reminds me of it is Clue.

                      Dusty....

I LOVE Clue!! That is such a funny movie. My favorite scene is when Wadsworth is questioning Mrs. White about her dead husband:

                      Wadsworth..."Your first husband also disappeared."
Mrs White...."But that was his job. He was an illusionist."
                      Wadsworth...."But he never reappeared!"
                      Mrs White....."He wasn't a very good illusionist."

LOL! I think I might have to watch that movie tonight.
