  • The Marathon

Since the passing of Wayne Allwine I thought we should all be able to once again capture the magic of the Timeless Mickey Mouse by once again watching "The Marathon" one of the greatest short films about Mickey ever done. I can't figure out how to embed the video here. All I get is the embed code and when it does appear it fails. So here is the direct link to You Tube were you can watch this incredible tribute to Mickey Mouse.

Thank you for posting this! I have been looking for this for weeks! I love this movie so much.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Now if we could only get other people to watch and comments.

For anyone who doesn't already know, this film was made in 1988 in Russia. Animation was not well known in Russia at this time but they did this and then presented it to the Studio. When it was shown to the staff there wasn't a dry eye in the theater when it was over. It's just such a amazing tribute to the timeless appeal of Mickey Mouse. I just love it.
