  • Disney CG animation test of Where the Wild Things Are - Directed by John Lasseter

While searching Google for the publication date of the book, I came across this video. Weird to hear about Tron, John Lasseter, CG animation, and Where the Wild Things Are all from 1983. Seems all the trends are back .

    Hope you enjoy!

This was originaly included on a TV special citing Disney at the forfront of animation. It was not credited to John Lasseter at the time (being a 'nobody' back then), also included was Roger Rabbit test footage in rough pencil test form, but without Bob Hoskins as he had not (nor anyone) been cast yet.

The CGI Where the Wild Things Are footage is now available on the Wall-E bonus disc, as part of The PIXAR Story
