As long as there ain't no Predators and the movie isn't called Alien vs Jar Jar Binks or something like that...

With Ridley Scott returning, I'm definitely interested. Anything he does is worth a look, even his junk.

#3 and #4 were painful... AVP was fun (sorry it was an interesting blend). AVP2 SUCKED... so getting me back in the theater for this may take some effort.

I haven't been interested in this franchise since Aliens (one of the best sci-fi movies of all time), but with Scott I'll give it a chance.

I think a lot of people would actually pay to see that one.

The Alien would take his own life right when he started to hear Jar Jar.

Just finished watching Aliens, so this news is a fortuitous surprise. I'm REALLY hoping this prequel shows the alien race whose ship held the eggs in the first movie & how their fates came to pass.

That would make for the most obvious jumping off point. The distress signal that the Nostromo intercepted and reacted to, which of course we all later found out was actually a warning signal, is still one of the great plot elements in sci-fi filmmaking. Who sent it?

Scott's return should restore alot of the original's greatness to the 'Alien' brand. Fox ran the road out as far as it could so this move to it's beginning is exciting news.

I wonder what they'll call this movie. We got Alien, then Aliens, then
Alien3 (or Alien Cubed as I like to call it), and finally Alien Resurrection. So I'm thinking... Alien Negative?
