I'm really excited for this movie! It looks good, and I dont think this movie would look right in CGI anyway, I'm glad they're using traditional

There's a new featurette on the villain of our story Dr. Facilier played by Keith David:

I can't get it to embed right, so here's the link. It showcases some of what was shown at Comic Con

Facilier looks to be the first truly Disney caliber villain in a while. Here's hoping!

Seriously, this movie just keeps getting better and better. Dr. Facilier really reminds me of the classic Disney villains! How did they manage to make him so captivating, yet creepy?! I love it!

                  Good morning, son
                  In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                  It was pain
                  Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Re: The Princess and The Frog Feature

I'm sorry, but I just don't think this looks very good. For me the music is a lost cause because I can't stand Newman's work, but the film just looks too cartoony for me. The appeal of their 90's features was the crossover ability. This just looks like a straight out kid's movie, and if it weren't Disney, I wouldn't be giving it the time of day. This trailer needed to be the big, powerful previews that were implemented for Lion King and Pocahontas. Those clips of the films left auidences awestruck. That's what this needed to be, and so far it's just not even touching that quality. I hope I'm proven wrong, but so far, this looks like it could of been done by any studio. I don't see the Disney standard. Has anyone here seen the 30 minutes preview from D23? Lets get some reviews!

I'm really looking forward to this. I've missed hand drawn animation. The CG stuff just is not nearly as cool.

Really? I thought the clip was filled with color and charm when I watched it. The characters look diverse and full of personality, just like I would expect from Disney. You still have time to change your mind and hopefully as more clips and footage is released you will change your mind. I love the New Orleans setting because I think the music is what will stand out the most. As for the footage from D23, I read this review from Latino Review where the feature ended with this promising statement!

"This new hand drawn animated film from Disney looks fantastic. It was really funny, the songs were good and it was a great throwback to animated movies like Alladin and The Little Mermaid. I can't wait to see the entire thing."
