  • The A-Team -June 11, 2010-

Filming is currently underway here in British Columbia on the new A-Team movie. Set for a June 11, 2010 release date.

    The movie stars:
    Liam Neeson as Hannibal
    Bradley Cooper as Face
Sharlto Copley as Murdock (according to IMDB, still rumoured)
    Quinto Jackson as B.A.

Currently they are filming in the Ashcroft area and Kamloops lake. Unfrotunately there was an on-set accident yesterday:
CFJC TV Channel 7 – Broadcast Television serving Kamloops and the surrounding area.
Hopefully the injuries weren't too bad.

    And...
*Spoiler* Pics of the "new" van have surfaced:

Always got a kick out of the intro when the Cylon walks by Dirk Benedict.

Thanks for posting that. I was a huge "A" Team fan. ROFL, I had completely forgotten the bit with the Cylon.

                      as T once said
                      " You can't spell success without T!"
and that is definitely true in this case, but they better have the Chevy Van or they better not come to play! I used to love lifting that van at USH in the 80's along with the stunt spectacular!

Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without saying, "You're making a scene!"

I barely recognize Liam Neeson. They've definately done a good job making them look like the original show. Should be fun, based on nostalgia alone (like Transformers), but I hope they paid at least a little bit of attention to story and character (unlike Transformers).

Liam has sure fallen a long way from Oskar Schindler quality roles.

With everything that has happened, maybe he wanted something that would just be fun.

Slumming it how? Just because he doesn't do the "Room with a hole in the wall to watch Cecil eating cheese lamenting about the swan in the lake" does not mean he is any less of an actor. If anything, it means he is a stronger actor because he can diversify his roles.

I dislike the thought of an actor "slumming" because he/she is not doing a "dramatic role". It's the same thought the academy has ever year and why great films, actors and actresses get passed on for even nominations.

An action adventure based on a much beloved (though insipid) 80's TV show is still slumming it. His stunt double will get more screen time than he will.

A romantic comedy, an animated film. Hosting the Nickelodeon Kids awards would be better use of his talents.

Comedy is much harder than drama.

I still go with the "could be doing it for the fun" aspect. I was fortunate to get to have over two hours of one-on-one time with the late, great Roddy McDowell on the set of Murder She Wrote. Roddy told me at the time, " I've done a lot of s*** because it was bloody fun s***." He went on to talk about that when you reach a certain level, you can pick and choose what you want to do and not have to worry about what the critics think. You do it for the pure fun of the project.

So, I don't think of it as slumming.. I think of it that he can pick and choose and do something he wants to do.

And, I agree...it's very VERY difficult to do comedy. (And Liam is GREAT at comedy!)
