  • ABC wins Matthew Perry series bidding war

Could it be a bigger deal?!

Matthew Perry will co-produce and star in a new comedy series for ABC based on an idea he came up with. No word on a third nipple cameo.

I can already see this replacing "Hank" next season.

Last I checked, writing makes a great TV series. Not the "idea" or the "star."
      So, who will be writing?

Good for Mathew, though. He can get two or three years guaranteed with his name.

Since he's back in business with Jamie Tarses (from NBC during 'Friends' development & success) and Tommy Schlamme from 'The West Wing' (where Perry earned 2 Emmy nominations for guest-starring appearances) and 'Studio 60' I wouldn't be surprised to see writer's names from all of those series and some new hot hands on board. Basically everything Matt LeBlanc didn't have on 'Joey'.

            Nope, just the article.

              I meant about "Joey."
